So glad the Skins passed on Blaine Gabbert

[Ranzo]

Saw Gabbert play a little on NFL Network replays. Looks like a solid NFL QB prospect. If the media wants to hype fresh meat QB,this is the guy. Not Tebow, Cam Newton, Pryor.

Locker looks better than I expected, too. More accurate. Throw in Mallett with NE as a mild surprise. I knew he had a cannon for an arm but his release has always been slow as well as his reads. He didn't look deficient in these areas in the one half-game I've seen. This is a very promising haul for rookie QBs.

It's a bit early to be crowning anyone at this point. I have to think that the Skins would have taken him if they didn't have some major concerns about him. I mean, when Beck and Grossman are your QB's, the bar isn't exactly high.

You can't win in this league without a good QB. The last average to below average QB to win a Super Bowl was Trent Dilfer, but he didn't have to score points as the defense didn't let anyone else score.

What??? That's one of his strengths and the Patriots agree but hey what do they know, right?
