No, this is not a diss Romo thread, My question is this: With all of our NFC East opponents bolstering their D-lines, how long will it be before Romo is injured and Kitna has to start a game?

Romo was pounded last year, and best I can tell, we will have the same line this year as well.

I say, kitna will see action by Thanksgiving.

Hmmm...good question. The homer in me wants to say the last game of the season when Dallas will be sitting Romo and resting him for the playoffs but that's wishful thinking, most likely, on my part.

I don't know Romo made it through 16 games in 07 and 32 games in a row before missing any time. Anyone can get injured at any point in time but I don't think it is a given he will be injured this season

Unfortunatley injuries can happen at any time and the fact that the Giants are bolstering their already potent d-line doesn't help. I seriuosly hope Romo stays health and Kitna is nothing more than an observer this season, but, you're probablly right that he will see some playing time this year. I can't predict when, nor do I want to, but it's bound to happen it's the nature of the beast.

The Dallas O-line is only one play away from Cory Procter or Pat McQuistan. And Deion Anderson is still trying to successfully block someone.

I always try to stay positive and not look forward to that kind of scenario.

However, there's no doubt the Cowboys are in a lot better position with Jon Kitna as backup QB than they were last year with BJ.

As for the O-Line, hopefully we will draft at least one or two capable O-Linemen for the future.

And Romo made it every game in 07. I'm not saying he can't or will not get hurt I'm only stating that it is not a given that he will go down. Predict when Romo goes down? Hell predict when any NFL player may go down they all run the risk. If he does go down Kitna will have to hold down the fort like any backup. To me it is like predicting when will I die, we all will die one day but I don’t sit around thinking about it.

Injuries are fluke things, there's no way to know. If the refs would protect Romo like they do Eli and others there would be no chance.

My sentiments exactly. I hope like heck Romo makes it unscathed this year, but more than likely he will be running for his life a lot.

Giants and Skins and Eagles all should be able to bring the heat this year.

I think Romo's only chance to make it 16 games without getting banged up is a heavy commitment to the running game this year.

The only position we can really upgrade at on the OL is Left Tackle.

I like all of our guys and I have a feeling Montrae Holland will start at LG based on what I saw last year.

Our OL is sometimes inconsistent but they are a solid group of players.

I just wish I knew how injured FLO really was last year because he was AWFUL.

If Garrett shortens the passing game a little and we run the ball more Romo won't take close to the beating he took last season even if the o line sucks

When Romo learns how to travel in the 3rd dimension, he will simply hover over the pass rushers and take his time as the stats go up.

Then by Week 12 when everything is clinched Kitna will come in.

hopefully never. but if we'd had Kitna last year, we very likely would have been in the playoffs.

Not, long if Romo keeps waiting like he has all day to get the ball out. I see more broken fingers. Other teams are aware that he doesn't tuck the ball in traffic...

Right.

He's had one real injury in almost three full years of games. Yet now the injuries are going to come
