So how much impact do you think Strahan will have...

... against us, coming off of no training camp, no real football conditioning, and being 35 years old?

Will he be rested and energized, or out of shape and fatigued after a few plays?

Is his holdout an advantage or a disadvantage for us?

Out of shape/fatigued. However don't underestimate Tuck.

I'm not giddy about him being out of shape,

Strahan knows how to get pressure. I'll be giddy when he is out of NFL.

I've been asking myself that question all day. I gotta believe he won't be ready. He'll probably play 3rd downs only? You can't just throw someone out there not practincing AT ALL. He's a great player and all, but I can't see how he can do that.

He will give enough to spell Tuck and he will at least try to be disruptive.

Honestly probably as much as we can realistically expect from Gregg Ellis or Terry glenn if they can play.

He is a talented guy and is also an egomaniac who will be doing everything he can to make sure the whole night is about him....

Honestly, at his age, I think he's better off now than he would have been if he had 4 weeks of grinding through camp. He knew he was going to play all along, so I assume he kept himself in good physical shape. 10 days should be plenty to get his timing down and get used to wearing pads.

There's really not much difference between his situation and Terry Glenn, so if we shouldn't expect much from Strahan then I would suggest we shouldn't expect much from Terry either. In fact, Terry might be in worse shape because the knee might not be 100% comfortable yet.

I just hope he doesn't get a sack or has a good outing against us....ESPN will be raving about Strahan missing all of tc and still can make plays in games....especially against Americas Team.

Strahan is about as good a DE as we'll ever see. He'll be solid.

Strahan has been sitting at home

Glen has been out at the Ranch doing Rehab and going to meetings.

probably more then he ever has......just another log to throw onto the fire. With newman and glenn gimpy, why wouldn't Strahan have a great night like the rest of the Giants.

He is a veteran, professional athlete. He will play fine, and will probably be a royal pain as he was last year. I would not make the mistake of underestimating him.

Terry Glenn needs only "2 practices" to get ready for the regular season even after suffering knee surgery, yet a player that was not injured and is a many few leagues above Glenn talent-wise is going to have problems.. Good God.

I see strahan getting at least 3 sacks 5 qb hurries, and recovering 2 fumbles 1 for a touchdown..

We have to keep a hat on that head at all times. No free runs.... even an out of NFL shape player can rush/sack the QB when uncontested.
