So if Mcnabb avoided 4 or 5 sacks....

I'll keep Mr. Favre in my prayers. I advice all of you to do the same.

Mcnabb has a lot stronger legs than Favre. Mcnabb is also faster than the old man. I think The old guy goes down 5 times this game and throws 2 pics early.

Seriously though, Favre gets rid of the ball better than McNabb and was sacked less than him as a result.....but he could still get roughed up this week.

Exactly.

And the beautiful thing is, we didnt even blitz that much. Favre is toast.

Vikings OL is not a strong point of the team. They got to McNabb like that, they will certainly get to Favre. Either with a lot of pressure, hits. He will fumble and / or throw some balls up for INT's.

Key is to stop Peterson. The way the secondary is playing. Put 8 men in the box to stop the run. Make it all fall on Favre.

favre will throw some quick slants and screens to keep our pass rush at bay,we need to get them in 3rd and long situations.

I think the Cowboys are pretty confident that their front seven can stop the run.

He got eaten up and knocked out of the game the last time he faced this defense, and we weren't attacking the QB back then as well as we are now. Though Favre was with the Packers at that time.

Our d-line is licking their chops.

I'd mix it up but mostly put just 7 in the box and keep our Ss back to defend the deep half. Now when/if they gash us consistently with the running game, then I'd load the box more with 8.

Look for Oscan to get a huge sack at some point in this game. We run that blitz everytime we play the Packers/Vikings/Other Similar Offensive Team.

LOL. Just a little minor detail that he played behind an entirely different line and team....but I hear ya.

Wow, just what I was thinking about on Saturday... Our defense should have a field day with old man Farve!!!!

I would argue that the Packers line back then is about the same or slightly better than Favre's line today. Favre's tendencies don't change. I love Spencer and Ware in this game. They will get after him.

I just pray that the Defense does not underestimate Favre like some on this board are.

This.

Favre had more TDs, far more yards, fewer sacks, less ints, and a much higher passer rating than McNabb this season. He was better in very single area.

They're probably watching film on him right now.
Favre has a quick release - much better than McNabb. He doesn't need to run to do his job well.

That said, I don't think our D will have any problem containing him, they'll just treat him different than McNabb.

Speaking of stopping Favre and AD
Like the team, these final 2 games before the SuperBowl we have to trust Wade to come up with a plan that uses his guys strengths to stop them. And I have faith in his ability to do that. The question is;
Will their offensive plan be better?
and/or
Will the Cowboy's defense execute Wade's plan?
