So if Mcnabb avoided 4 or 5 sacks....

Speaking of stopping Favre and AD
Like the team, these final 2 games before the SuperBowl we have to trust Wade to come up with a plan that uses his guys strengths to stop them. And I have faith in his ability to do that. The question is;
Will their offensive plan be better?
and/or
Will the Cowboy's defense execute Wade's plan?
I very much trust in Wade to come up with a great plan for the defense. They are really confusing teams with some multi-demensional coverge and attack schemes going right now. And as you pointed out, excectuion is the key. No big runs to AD or Harvin like Jacobs got on us off of that busted screen coverage a few weeks ago.

I would argue that the Packers line back then is about the same or slightly better than Favre's line today. Favre's tendencies don't change. I love Spencer and Ware in this game. They will get after him.

Same here I think we will have him in run for his life mode most of the day.

This.

Favre had more TDs, far more yards, fewer sacks, less ints, and a much higher passer rating than McNabb this season. He was better in very single area.

He also had a running game most of the season to fall back on.
McNabb had not much of one to do that.

I just pray that the Defense does not underestimate Favre like some on this board are.

I just pray the the whole team does not underestimate the Metrodome like most are on this board.

Favre is a lot smarter than McNabb and he has Peterson. Stop the run, score early and then go in for the kill.

FWIW, Farve has been sacked 34 times on 531 pass attempts (6.5%) and McNabb has been sacked 35 times on 443 pass attempts (7.9%).

However, like the OP said, McNabb evaded 4 or 5 sacks, so I predict a few more sunday.

I'll keep Mr. Favre in my prayers. I advice all of you to do the same.

I hope only for his health , not for the Stat line ! LOL !

favre will throw some quick slants and screens to keep our pass rush at bay,we need to get them in 3rd and long situations.
Exactly. Favre will get rid of it quick. I still think our defense stops them though by rushing his throws. He will get rid of it fast, but he will have a lot of incompletions and short gains.

That's what we all thought Green Bay was going to do when we played them during 13-3. Favre came out and was looking for that home run ball right off the bat. I think when the pressure gets on, that's what Favre goes for, he presses to make it happen. I think we'll see more of that this Sunday.

Peppers was all over them a few weeks ago, Carolina got 4 sacks and hit Favre 10 times. It's safe to say we're a little better than Carolina on that side of the ball.

Peterson hasn't rushed for more than 100 yards since week 10..against the Lions.

Their running game is overrated, their o-line isn't very good, and Favre is slow. He has a lot of speed and talent at WR to help bail him out but a product of his stats are that he throws the ball 40+ times a game. I see us playing the pass honestly, prove that Peterson can run on us without doing anything fancy on defense, chances are he won't. That'll allow us to bring the pressure on Favre, who's prone to mistakes whenever he's getting pressured.

Favre will have 220 yards passing, an INT and a forced fumble. Peterson will have 75 yards rushing, and our defense will be claimed as one of the best in the last 10 years. Book THAT.

Their defense can't stop much of anything, Matt Moore and Cutler both carved it up. Their beginning of the season stats have skewed their rankings right now, they aren't playing that well.

It'll be in the Dome so it'll be close.

For a half.

I sure hope you're right, and he does play like he did when he was Green Bay.

It is shocking to see just how little respect people have for Brett Favre.

Is he a drama queen at times, Yes but the guy is a heck of a player.

The guy is also playing out of his mind in the Metrodome.

The type of comments I have seen today is the main reason why the "lows" are so low on this board because some people just don't understand that the opposition has good players too.

Were being too cocky, how can SuperFunk and I go out there this Sunday w/ our Tom Brady/LL Cool J sized domes?

I plan on shutting down overrated Lord Favre all by myself, simply by underestimating him and the rest of the Vikings.

Against who? Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis and a bunch of other scrub teams. Not against the Cowboys and when he did face a team that got after him like the Cards, Panthers you saw the results. Not pretty.
