So, Jerra, you didn't bring in a "wow" player post-Pacman

From 50,000 watts of pure-dee Dallas Cowboy devotion, Air Cowboys America is on the air from Farmers Branch, where our property values are down but our spirits are high!

Yes, men and girls, Jerra promised a "wow" player.

I jus didn't know it would be Pacman.

You see, ah was believing that my bro, Jerra, the most enthusiastic owner in the history of the NFL save Al Davis, would rope and bring in a "wow" player for the offense.

And, yes, expectations have mostly been for a WR. But nay, none in the WR category. Not yet, anyway, and it is relatively late in the offseason.

So, my question to this August assemblage of knowing personable personages, is this:
Were their no real viable WR candidates out there this offseason? Even ones under contract whose owners might deal?

Or, did Jerra save his powder for something else and really has faith in the young'uns?

I think it be the latter. In Sam Hurd http://www.***BANNED-URL***/sharedcontent/dws/spt/misc/wallpaper/img/cowboys/1223shurd130.jpghe sees an honest to goodness possession player who will challenge Crayton. Then there is the slow but sure emergence of Miles Austin.http://www.***BANNED-URL***/sharedcontent/dws/spt/misc/wallpaper/img/cowboys/1130maustin130.jpg

Jerra, thus, has gambled big time on NOT getting a replacement for gimpy and old Terry Glenn.
Instead, he's going with T.O., Witten and a grinding ground game. And some lean and hungry young receivers.

Jerra, a good nonmove if ever I saw one.

I tend to agree. Sure, it would be nice to have a Roy Williams alongside Owens, but I think our receiving group will be fine this year, that is, assuming Owens doesn't get hurt.

This might be more effective in crayon. Might I suggest periwinkle?

I think most of us liked what we saw of Tyson Thompson on a sweep when he got the corner.

When Felix Jones does it this year I think our natural reactions will be "wow." I think he can do it as a runner or receiver.

Yeah, I think Felix is the "WOW" Player.

After the draft, didn't Jerry say Felix brings a wow factor? Granted, I don't believe that Felix was his original thought when he first said it, but Felix is it now.

Did I miss something? Did the trade deadline for the upcoming season already come and go?

I believe Miles Austin will emerge as the number 2 WR for Dallas. You can tell Sherman liked what he saw from Austin in mini camps/OTA's.

i hope so then maybe we can push Crayton back to the slot were he belongs:D

Maybe he really expected the Lions to part with Roy Willimas. I at least thought there was a chance they would for a 1st.

Dare I say.... Felix Jones is a mixture of Julius Jones and Tyson Thompson?

Let's see.... he has Thompson's speed, Thompson's jersey number, Jones' last name, Jones' wiggle x 2, Jones' explosion x 2.....

Felix is Julius and Tyson's illegitimate love child.

That would be a good thing!! No slight to Crayton whatsoever, he has been the scorned child around the CBZ for ... oh ever since the last game, but with his experience, he could tear up the nickel CB on the opposite side of the ball... Crayton will only be better this season, book it. Dallas offense... providing that the Austin experience works to the Cowboys advantage would make for one helluva show this season. Man I can't wait!!

But I wonder, that, when warming the bench, he'd still be yapping.:)
