Romo - The FG ball custody rules.
Dez - The UnCatch rule.

The "Oopsie! We screwed the Cowboys" rules.

Nobody will EVER convince me that the ball used for that XP wasn't purposely "Slicked up" and waiting for that specific moment....it looked sooooo waxy....if that is even a word.

Yep, that was a stretch on my part
Pure speculation.
But the others I listed are real.
Absolutely! I hated the Eric Williams head slap.....I used the 2 hand shiver to the facemask of larger offensive blockers all the time in HS....lol. It's funny how a big guy comes to block you differently when he's expecting to have his head jarred. But that was then; these guys could probably really mess each other up if they were allowed to do that.

Godell’s own investigator went back to NY and told him there was nothing and recommended that entire thing be dropped .. As we all know, Roger didn’t like that and levied the suspension. Why people don’t think Roger will do whatever he can to hurt JJ is beyond me.
There are backroom politics that we are not privy too.
There has been public friction between Goodell and Jerry.
Who knows what the total picture really is?

The Brett Maher Rule: "A blade of natural grass on a natural grass field is considered a "foreign object" and, thus, cannot be used for kick-sighting/ball-placement purposes."

I think the Dez no-catch ruling and Megatron's no-TD-catch against the Bears (I think) were the two most controversial plays that had an impact on that rule being changed.
I'd add the Bert Emanuel catch from the 1999 NFC championship game between the Bucs and the Rams.

No, that rule happened when Murray was playing and spearing people. They were getting fined for it. He was destroying people and the main one doing it

Can search for demarco murray nfl rule rb's spearing

One of the moves that made me like Murray as a runner

Watched your reference video several times. He did deliver a helluva blow but it was as much shoulder and upper body as anything else. Not that it matters at all. But to reinforce my point, no.29 was a Cowboy too ..

This makes me wonder if in fact that little nugget from the league didn't get into Maher's head and cause him to spray the ball all over the yard like a singles hitter.

What game was that when the replay ref decided they could still review a play AFTER the next play had already been run? The one where Maher had to make a damn 60+ yards field goal twice?

Read this and I didn’t see two rules by Cowboys. Maybe I missed it.

Marion Barber rule - enforcing stiff arms or hands directly to face masks

Deion Sanders rule - the signing bonus going against the cap
