I know a lot of fans had been feeling good about how we’ve been playing these last few weeks winning 4 out of our last 5 heading to Philthy.

But the fight ran out. We looked more like the team we saw earlier this year with blowout losses to Detroit, New Orleans and Houston.

And this is probably closer to the team we currently are than the team we’ve been feeling good about. We also ran up against the best team we’ve faced since lucking out win against Washington.

It is what it is. And while it was welcoming to win a few games this loss actually is that reminder that changes are needed along with more talent influx.

Yes, injuries still are a major contributing factor but most insider analysts didn’t have this team healthy going to the playoffs probably struggling from 8-10 wins anyway. Vegas had us at 9 1/2 wins over/under . I took the under.

Turnovers, you just can’t have them in the NFL. It’ll take the wind momentum away from any team. I don’t think the third string backfield quit. I just don’t think they’re very good. But there was nobody left healthy to put on the field. As much as I disapprove of Cooper Rush, It’s not all on him. We had a running game. Didn’t have receivers.

It doesn't matter how hard you fight when your QB is garbage and your HC play calling is bad.

Cowboys had no chance the way he played yesterday and what was up with those 3rd down calls?

plot twist they did fight hard

the team just sucks
First game played since being officially eliminated from the playoffs.
No CDL.
Playing one of the top teams in the NFC.
Even without Hurts, Eagles are still a good team, cause they have a competent GM.

Agree. Which is why so many people are left scratching their heads this morning about the MM decision to throw to Mingo on 3rd and 1. You get into a 2nd and 1 sometime, then call that play. But 3rd and 1 he needed to run the damn ball. I am more convinced than ever, Coach Mike gets bored with the running game. He can talk all he wants, decisions like this one reveal his mindset.

He gets bored with the running game. You know, I think you finally hit it on the head.

I am proud my players .......they fought their a___ off the last 8-9 games. They are tired.....noticed some of Cooper Rush same cheerleaders from last week threw him under the bus yesterday like bad dishwater. Never mind he was playing with WRs who are 3rd/4th stringers on most team depth chart aginst one to the best defensive coor in the business. In other words, MOST QBs would have struggled against the Eagles Sunday.

I disagree 100% about this team quiting ..........all the fighting and scarching every game ( coz min talent ) has taken its toll.

The Eagles defense, then not as good as projected. Cooper Rush has never beat them and is not going to. But I don’t think that Team quit either..

he just needs receivers and a better oline u hater
Cooper Rush is a back up quarterback and that’s all he will ever be. He should stay in Dallas. This is the best fit for him. Prescott injuries are not going to stop.

Good post Greg. Several thoughts….

1. I am amazed at how low the bar is here in Dallas based on our players “not quitting”. That somehow impresses Jerry and Stephen. But being a professional athlete in my opinion means you never quit. That’s the minimum expectation. Sometimes “the lack of fight” we think we see is actually a lack of talent.
2. When you lack talent at multiple positions even when healthy, scheme and coaching are simply not enough to make you a serious contender for anything.

Like you said, injuries played a sizeable role in how this team performed this year. But even 100% healthy, IMO the Cowboys were not a playoff team.
