Giants 2016- Nikita Whitlock and Josh Brown both suspended.

Packers 2016- demetri Goodson, Mike pennel, Letroy Guion all suspended.

Seahawks lead the NFL in PED suspensions underneath Pete Carol regime.

Patriots 2016 Robert ninkovich and Alan branch both suspended.

Like I said you pay more attention to the cowboys because that is your team. Everybody deals with suspensions every year.

Brady missed four games, too, only it was for regular cheating and not specifically PEDs.

I am so angry. Yet another offseason gut punch. Our best pass-rushing lineman (and my pet cat for breakout player) to miss the first four games, including the key division opener against the NYG. And Zeke investigation still looms... Year to year, it is so difficult to get excited over this team, just knowing in the pit of your stomach, that something bad always awaits. Last year alone: Randy Gregory suspension, Demarcus Lawrence suspension, Charles Tapper undisclosed, season-ending injury, Kellen Moore season-ending injury, Tony Romo season-ending injury, Zeke investigation. All before the first game... I am so tired of these terrible offseasons. Maybe it's the high-profile nature of the team, but I really don't see other teams losing as many players as us, year-to-year. I'm just sick, tired, and angry.

thing is I truly believe Dallas might only be pass rush away from being Super Bowl contender. Tank, Gregory & Irving have gone out of their way to screw that up. I mostly blame it on poor leadership on DL. There is nobody there for guidance. Look at OL..how many get busted for something? Dallas needs to find Frederick on that DL and instill some order.

I suppose, but other than BS Deflategate, when was the last time the Pats, Seahawks, Packers or Giants lost a player due to suspension?
Packers: Johnny Jolly, Mike Neal, Letroy Guion, Sam Sheilds, Jarret Bush, Datone Jones, Mike pennel and Demetri Goodson

Seahawks suspensions.... dang this is alot of typing point is ALL these teams have suspensions.

Why not?

Regardless of the Suspensions and injuries that happened during training camp and pre season last year we still won the division and went 13-3.

If anything you should feel more encouraged that this team was able to perform with those things going on in the background.

I think everything broke right for us during the year... we stayed healthy, we played a last place schedule, and teams did not have tape on Dak. But we were exposed in the playoffs. This year will be harder if we want to come close to repeating 13-3 and we cannot afford offseason problems.

Right. The OP asks who on GB, Seattle, etc. are suspended... as if it just happens to Dallas... and then when given a long list of guys suspended comes back with "who?". Instead of saying he was wrong about only Dallas having suspended guys, he starts saying they are nobody's.

Then, when someone brings up that Irving isn't very well known outside of Dallas (a valid point)... he says opposing coaches know.

Another valid point brought up was that Dallas still went 13-3 last year and he poo-poo's that idea right away instead of giving it it's due consideration.

All that tells me that the OP isn't going to listen to reason, nor will anyone be able to change his already made up mind. He wants to go on a rant and nobody is going to stop him.

Like you said... that post showing all the guys suspended from the OP's list of teams should have ended the thread. Not much to say after that, IMO.

I am tired of this narrative that we had an easy schedule. Every week during the season was a "test" where it was expected for DP to lose to reinsert TR. There were numerous posts about how we would be lucky to be .500 by week 8 which included games against Green Bay, the bengals, 49ers, Eagles, and steelers. Now that the season is over it was an easy schedule?

That's not how it works. It can't be both.

I don't expect a 13-3 repeat but i don't believe it will be losing season by any stretch. Regardless of what happens with DI.

The Elliot investigation is nothing more than a witch hunt ... the police cleared him, that's all that should matter.

I think all the suspensions and high injury risk players are directly related to Roger Goodell planting PED's and other banned substances in our players drinks. He targets whoever he wants and everyone knows Roger and every NFL official do everything they can to make sure we lose. I'm also pretty sure it has nothing to do with Jerry taking high risk players in later rounds at a "discount" due to their injuries, character issues, etc.

Plus, the alleged incident took place before he was drafted. So why is Zeke still being investigated and Joe Mixon is in the clear? NFL? Do you hear me???

Yes, but not to their key pass rushers, it seems

I value the points and like the dialogue. I'm not ignoring what was said. But we can agree to disagree as to the significance of the suspensions to GB players and SEA players (a number of years ago) versus the significance of suspensions of Gregory, Lawrence, and Irving to us. And whether or not last year we caught lightning in a bottle to get to 13-3 (yet lose in the first round). I am optimistic about the state of the team, but my point is that our recent offseasons have been terrible, and IMO worse than other premier teams.

Who?

I hear ya, but our best 3 outside pass rushers in two consecutive offseasons?

That's not what your original point was. I clearly showed you that suspensions are a problem that all teams deal with. And outside of Dallas nobody knows who Irving is. Suspensions happen ours just happened to be at pass rush.

If you aren't excited about next year with what our rookies did last year, the rookies we drafted this year, and with Jaylons recovery coming along nicely you are certifiably insane. I know a lot of people on the Zone have high hopes for Irving, but at this point in his career he is just another guy in the DLine rotation. In case you missed it we drafted a DE in the first round. We are going to be just fine buddy. Relax

Last year we might have had the best draft in the history of this franchise. It certainly is among the very best. Tough to call that a terrible offseason... particularly since the team followed that up with a 13-3 season.

If you're only talking about suspensions, then that is another story... but if you're calling the offseason terrible then I don't get it.

Never said I wasnt excited for the year, just angry at yet another bonehead move by a DL that we definitely need to help beat a team like the NYG. In case you missed it, rookie DLs not named Joey Bosa or JJ Watt dont typically do much. And certainly not in the first 4 games. Irving will be missed. Because of his stupidity.
