So what was it exactly that made him appealing enough to get the job based on his work history in the NFL?

He got the job based on his work history with the Cowboys.

Let me ask you this... Going into this season with lee out us losing ware and hatcher...

Where did you see this defense with question marks everywhere ranking??

At the bottom but I had no idea we had a DC that has oatmeal for brains

I vote this as the Thread Fail for the week.

Did he do a good job last year? I think so.

Players love him and play damn hard for the man. No reason to let him go.

So we should keep a FOOL who doesn't think it;s a good idea to blitz a QB playing on one leg? Is that what you are telling me?

You're laying all of the blame for the Lions and Bears woes at Marinelli's feet.

Consider his current work in Dallas with below average talent and Marinelli's value becomes apparent very quickly.

This thread is dumb. Not worth trying to make sense of it.

Unemployed in 2013?

Take a look at the OP's posting history to understand what this thread is about.

Maybe you should go back and look at the rankings of some his defenses. Making the playoffs is generally a product of being at least adequate on both sides of the ball (which is why Dallas made it this year).

Considering the castoffs and rejects he had to work with this year, Marinelli did about as well as could be expected of any DC.
