If you want to share what you have planned for Thanksgiving Holiday, here's the place to do it.:)

My husband and me and the kids are staying home and having our Thanksgiving right here. It will be really nice to have everyone home from work all on the same day. That is Thanksgiving enough! We are hoping it will be cold enough that we can pretend it's cold enough to make a fire in the fireplace.:p

So how 'bout yall? How are you going to spend Thanksgiving?

I don't have to cook this year, so we are going to the wife's parents farm. It is not an animal farm but a fruit/vegetable one over about 200 acres. They have an outdoor kitchen that serves the customers over the summer and fall festival......it has the works. They will do all of the cooking and I will bless them with my presence at about 10am.........but it is understood that we are out by 2:30 so we can get back home for the game :)

Probably going to have Thai food, after work. Not going to be home for Thanksgiving this year, but I will get to be there for Christmas for a change!

I hear a local sports pub place is going to be open and serving full Thanksgiving Day meals for just $10, so that's probably what I'll be doing. Actually, like my buddy that told me about it, I'll probably buy one there and one to go for leftovers :)

I mean, gotta have something to eat again while Dallas whoops up on road-kill eagle.

Which reminds me, who was it that wanted the turkey as our national bird and symbol rather than the bald eagle? Benjamin Franklin. So in honor of Sir Ben, tomorrow is National Turkey Day to celebrate America's Team.

I'll have the pleasure of watching the game with my wife's side of the family who, at this point, are a bunch of dejected Giants fans! Being the Eagles are division rivals, there's a slight chance some of them may root along with me. Or maybe they'll just stick me in an upstairs bedroom with a Swanson TV dinner! lol

Dinner at the mom's with my kids and sister. We've had Tgiving every year at my mom and dads for like 40 years, and EVERY SINGLE YEAR my mother is always surprised the cowboys are playing. And kinda complains we watch the game while eating. lol

This time, me and my kids will cook something for my wife. She is the queen of the house tomorrow. Breakfast in bed, a nice thanksgiving dinner and some shopping at night.

It sounds like everybody has great plans for tomorrow. I love to hear all the different ways folks celebrate holidays. So much uniqueness and every celebration is custom made, so it is always wonderful to get different perspectives and all the ways that make the day special for each individual person and family.

We don't ever do the "sit down" dinner, where everyone gathers at the table. We just eat it more buffet style, and people sit where they want. At the bar, the island, the table, the couch in front of the tv, the computer, lol, just where ever. lol. Our family eats when we want, when we are hungry, not a certain time. It's very laid back, nothing at all formal. But we are together, that is what matters. It is always a great day when we are all together, because it is rare. Nobody is ever off on the same day, so big holidays are good, because everybody is off. This is our little holiday tradition I guess. No sit down dinner table dinners. Just a free for all of sorts. It works. lol. Football, food, drink, music, it's all good.:D

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Thank you for sharing your plans with us all. Remember to remember those loved ones you may have lost in the last year, but also please find something to be truly thankful for. Help someone who has a need, make someone's soul smile. I hope that you and yours will eat, drink, and be merry, healthy, and safe. Peace and Love.

And Let's Go Cowboys!!:starspin:

At a friend's house.

We're past the point of large Thanksgiving celebrations with many relatives. Most of them have past on, including my parents and my wife's parents. And the rest of our family is flung here, there and everywhere.

Just a normal day here in Scotland, it's even raining to prove my point! Hoping to catch some of the game tonight but might well end up missing it all.
Celtic have a big European game tonight that I'm on my way into Glasgow just now to go to. That won't finish until after Dallas start so depends on how quickly I can get back to my parents, planning on consuming far to much beer before the game for the 2 hour drive back to mine to even be a consideration.
Before the Celtic game I'm going for a drink in a new pro independence bar in Glasgow and then the German Christmas market for some food, beer and mulled wine.
Ideal scenario is celebrate a draw or win for Celtic, either would be enough to get us into the next round with a game to spare, then in in time to watch Dallas finish of the Eagles.

Just us this year. YES!! Every year I get stuck with the dude who knows all about jumping through portholes off a mesa in sedona or the friggin moon rock whom it pains greatly to even attempt to speak. Its always me stuck there whilst everybody else is in the kitchen having a grand 'ol time. Hopelessly stuck with an empty glass and no food. Eventually someone wanders by to use the restroom and promises me drink, only to forget once back in the kitchen.

This year my son and I will bask in food, football and an endless supply of beverage. Also.....I'm taking a plate to the chick who has to work at the liquor store today. Bummer.
