Didn't mean for my post to sound sad.

It's just different. In some ways it's sad (family that was there, isn't any more) and in some ways it's good in that we have no mess to deal with and aren't under the gun to spend hours getting a dinner ready that will be over with in 20 minutes. LOL!

Sums up the holidays brilliantly, I miss my grandparents terribly but am kind of guiltily glad we no longer have to deal with the shell of my grandmother that dementia left the last few years.
