Didn't get a chance to see or hear the game. Looked at the stats but didn't see him mentioned.

Two games now he's replaced Crayton and all this expectation about him being a big player for us seems pretty off the mark.

Is this guy starting to be another Eddie George/A-Train 'steal'..?

B/W A-Train and his $1mil/yr and Price's $2mil/yr..and the production to date..I'm looking at those signings as being pretty flat-line to this point. Neither has shown anything at all so far.

And especially for the price paid..$3mil+ for insurance which isn't insurance sounds like a waste to me.

I realize when things are going well, nobody wants to look at negative issues, but this appears not to be two of BP's better decisions.

If we have anymore injuries at WR and RB down the stretch, these two moves are going to loom larger and larger.

Anybody got a review on Price's progress..?

I'd like some good news if there is any.

Thomas is great insurance. Dallas just has the luxury of also having Barber as a back up. Barber has really started to step up his game. The Cowboys are in a good position at running back. Thomas is no Eddie George and fortunately Dallas doesn't have to rely on him like they did George last season.

He threw a great block at the goal line for Barbers second touchdown. Running back punts he was pretty limited.

Gee... maybe it's not all Michael Vick's fault.

I've been a Crayton supporter from day one, but in PP's defense, I don't think the Cowboys have played nearly as often with three wideouts as they did when Crayton was in. Obviously, a lot of that's to protect our tackles, but ya also gotta wonder how much is Bill's lack of trust in Peerless compared to Crayton and those hands of glue.

I think Crayton is already a better receiver. He could be something special.

I think we will see Price's role increase as the season progresses.

I agree. I also think Price's role will get increased as the season goes go, until then he just needs to keep carrying out his assignments and if he is open Drew will get him the ball.

Price hasn't been factored into the gameplan enough because he missed camp. You have to put in the time before you can start. Dallas has been going deep less often lately because of various factors, and when they do go deep they prefer Terry Glenn. Price's moments will come, he just needs to keep plugging away. As Tucker and Petiti improve, maybe we'll see more deep shots.

Price handled punts competently, threw at least that one good block, and was in on a couple of other plays I saw. However, more often, when we went three wide, Witten was split out. That was good game-planning for the Cards and maybe also a statement on Price's standing with BP.

Is it me, or does Price returing punts scare you to death? He just doesn't look natural back there.

Price played some and caught a ball or two as I recall...when you only throw 24 balls there just isnt room for everyone to catch 5-6 when you have a Keyshawn Johnson, Terry Glenn AND a Jason Witten...you also have to factor in that with our OT's, we just dont send 4 or 5 out on every play...there were a couple plays I remember only two guys going out...Arizona blitzed a bunch and moved around alot up front...

as for Anthony Thomas, he was a good signing...he might not produce anything now with JuJo and Barber as our 1-2, but he was good insurance

No, it's not just you. He doesn't look natural at it because he's not.

He didn't return punts in high school. He didn't return punts in college. He did return return punts in Buffalo and wasn't good at it.

Now he's doing it in Dallas and has a 5-yard average return, and that's better than I thought he'd do because he hasn't muffed or fumbled any yet. But he looks close. He's bobbled some, he's hesitant before he runs with the ball, and leaving him back there is a disaster waiting to happen IMO.

Price has done a good job on special teams, and given the improvement in the offense, may have helped yesterday.

Price does not fit the offense the way Crayton did, nor does he return punts anywhere close to what Crayton was doing.

Price was here as insurance for Glenn. He has been a non-factor on offense because Glenn was not the WR that got hurt.

Crayton's role on offense is being taken by the TEs.

It looked like he was going to muff one yesterday at about our own 20...scared me to death. And I agree, he hesitates before he takes off.

I'd like to see Glenn give it a try.

Yes he does scare me, but then again so did Crayton by the way he held the ball.

But Crayton was scaring us 8-10 yards after the catch.;)

I'm pretty sure Price had a good block on one of Barber's TD runs. I think that being in a lot of two TE sets has limited his play to giving Terry Glenn a breather a couple of times a series. As that starts to get shored up a bit, if it ever does, then you'll see more of him.

As BP will say... Who do you want to take out? Witten, Campbell, Glenn, Barber, or Keyshawn?...

I think Price has done fine at PR.

He isn't getting a lot of reps. Had a nice catch.

I like how he was really engaging a secondary guy on the Barber TD. Good to see he's ready, willing and able to block. Anyone see the play where Key was leveled? That was funny!
