So what happened to Peerless Price..?

Didn't get a chance to see or hear the game. Looked at the stats but didn't see him mentioned.

Two games now he's replaced Crayton and all this expectation about him being a big player for us seems pretty off the mark.

Is this guy starting to be another Eddie George/A-Train 'steal'..?

B/W A-Train and his $1mil/yr and Price's $2mil/yr..and the production to date..I'm looking at those signings as being pretty flat-line to this point. Neither has shown anything at all so far.

And especially for the price paid..$3mil+ for insurance which isn't insurance sounds like a waste to me.

I realize when things are going well, nobody wants to look at negative issues, but this appears not to be two of BP's better decisions.

If we have anymore injuries at WR and RB down the stretch, these two moves are going to loom larger and larger.

Anybody got a review on Price's progress..?

I'd like some good news if there is any.

signing Price and A-train won't hurt us a bit if they don't pan out, they'll be FAs at the end of the year, and their contracts are wiped off the slate

I am pleased with Peerless, and that's coming off a highly skeptical 'tude about his fit and his skills.

He's much more well rounded than I thought...but in retrospect that is not surprising because like TG in Green Bay he had to diversify his game in Atlanta.

I get the feeling he is not as fast as my faulty memory recollected him being in Buffalo. And he isn't as staunch as Patrick in the red zone.

But he is quicker than I thought, and is willing to do much more of the grunt work than some of us expected, based on his comments while in Atlanta.

I to expect him to be integrated more as weeks ago on. He is fiting in nicely, imo.

Price looks alot like Crayton to me, only he looks like Crayton when he was still learning and maybe struggling a little getting into the flow of the game and the system. Honestly, I don't think Price has been given enough opportunities to effectively "grade" him yet. As Parcells begins to trust him more, you'll probably see him in more plays.

You guys cant bash price after 2 games..Bill P has not even tried o involve him in the game plan.


Maybe if he wasnt the last read the oline can give DB a little more time we would be hearing a lot more about him....But you know what, that's not even it. I can alrady see BP doesnt like the kid and that means good by Price.


I like the guy and will remain on his BW, but if BP doesnt give him a chance then theirs nothing more to say.

I like Price, too. My complaints about him have nothing to do with the passing game. He'll make plays when he gets the chance - and he will.

My complaint is with Parcells basically forcing him to return punts, something he has no history of success at, or even looks comfortable doing.

I've aimed my complaint at Price, but it's really Parcells decison to put him there that bugs me. There is no logical reason. Why... just because he's the 3rd receiver and that's a role Parcells thinks he should have? Because he "looks" like a punt returner to Parcells? There are players on the team with a history of success returning punts that should be doing the job, and Price isn't one of them.

Maybe he just has to "earn his stripes", and as stupid as that sounds, it's probably not far from the truth.

Yep, I was talking about Aaron Glenn returning punts. He's reportedly asked BP about it.

Not sure what's so dumb about giving him a try.
