So what happens now?

Nothing, status quo, as fans we will all be back next year with whatever iteration of a team that Dumb and Dumber come up with. Dak will still be QB because, well we paid him too much, OC and DC come and go and will continue to come up short. If we don't make the playoffs it's because of the changes that were made and well, we've just got to get better. If we make the playoffs, and when we get bounced in the first round we will all know why except for our genius Owner/GM who will be dumbfounded and surprised.

Oh, and keep in mind the phrase 'Rinse/Repeat' because that's what goes on in these parts
Nor true...I feel this year "broke" a lot of fans honestly

What's your real feeling as to what happens now? Whose head rolls?
I don't expect much to happen. Quinn will be "urged" to leave, no attempt to get him to stay. Probably a few assistants will be sacrificed. I think McCarthy gets 1 more year. There will be some key players leave due to salary issues.
Just don't expect anything big. The cash will still pour in, that's all that matters.
What's next?

Re-shuffle the deck chairs. Been that way for 28 years, not going to be any different now...

Status quo, maybe a new DC. I’m looking forward to another wasted 2nd round pick and more DB’s playing linebacker. Maybe, just maybe they will find a RB taller than Deuce!

I don't care. I lost ALL interest a few years ago and I actually did not enjoy ANY of the regular season games, because I was waiting to see what they do today. They did not disappoint, and I feel happy I did not spend my attention, emotions, or time on this loser group.

Most likely rinse and repeat. We will be 12-5 again and struggling to get out of the wild card round.

..wait for spring camp..lol..

Where the sun shines every day

Yup and work to do there too
Im tempted to say sign devin white just for the fact hes a alpha player. No rookie linebacker is going to matter. We lack alpha leadership in the back 7. It's the only way. Clark/Bell is ridiculous

next? lol...Jerry et al have had the same speech written about for the last 30 years. "We made great strides this year, and lots of positives to take away. We think we have the right guys and right coaches here to take us where we want to go." Anybody want to disagree with this soon to be take from our esteemed ownership team?

Nah man, you need to get lost
Maybe you misunderstand the question of the thread.
It's not what you WANT to happen, it's what is most likely to happen.
If you really think McCarthy, Quinn, Prescott, Pollard, Tyrone Smith, Gilmore, and Gallup are all going bye-bye then you need to get lost. It ain't happening.
Or more accurately, you haven't observed what's happened to this organization over the last 28 years or so.

Nothing, business as usual. Fake outrage by joneses. Do superficial moves to get fans excited (change coach) while really no changes to make this team better during the season (lackluster penny pinching FA, we like our guys). Rinse repeat.

If I had to bet, fast forward 20 years from now I bet we still have the same fundamental problems and still have yet to go to a NFC championship and certainly not a Super Bowl. The more these losses stack up the more it becomes a mental barrier. We always beat ourselves.

I’ve said it for years, Jerry and Co truly believes the cowboys can catch lightning in a bottle and luck their way into Super Bowl like the eagles did the year they won it. The cowboys can’t do this. The only way the cowboys get back to SB is If they go all out and have the clear cut hands down best team in league. There are too many targets on their back be it media, fan bases, football gods, reffing and otherwise that only way to overcome them is to just be that 92-95 team again, mentally and physically tough and able to put all the negative factors to rest with their foot on your throat play. The fact that Jerry after 28 years of this thinks we can stumble our way into a Super Bowl with just a bunch of guys is a huge problem.

I would expect a week to go by before you hear anything about coaches sans perhaps those interviewing for positions.

A part of me now thinks Mike may be back, but having Bill available may present an interesting opportunity for Jerry he may not want to pass up.

Few scapegoats will get fired, the HMS Titanic will get a fresh coat of paint and some deck chairs will be rearranged. New scapegoats will be hired. The PR people will then start hyping up the chances of this team again next season.
