Exactly. Hubbard isn’t even that great of a back and had pretty good success with Carolina in 2024. Not a great team, but that OL is very good. Not a good sign for a Sanders rebound.

Booker being the 7th or 8th rated player worries me about their evaluation process. But it is all subjective so maybe they are right.

But it also goes to show what this draft class was like. There were only a few true first round talents, then there was a large group that were pretty close but not standouts. Still I would love to hear how they arrived at Booker as BPA at that point in the draft.

Time will tell of course, but if Tyler Warren turns out to be a star, and Booker turns out to be average, Jerry is going to look like a fool again. Then again, if Booker turns out to be a star he will look like a genius.

I see Booker as one of those "pretty close but not a standout" types. He's a power guard who doesn't have the mobility to really become a stud. High floor, low ceiling type of guy.

Warren, OTOH, is a pretty friggin phenomenal talent. He's got standout traits.

The other RB on panthers rushed for over 1000 and averaged a lot more than sanders.

And the folks that actually watch the tape for a living have seen that Booker seems to have no issues getting to the 2nd level to make blocks.

I believe the Mafah and Blue tandem will be like Herschel and Dorsett. There's a lot of similarities between the two duos except this present version probably has more raw talent.

It will come down to Miles Sanders and Mafah most likely. Williams appears to be a guy they are counting on initially, Blue is likely a lock and that leaves Sanders, Mafah and I guess Deuce for the 3rd spot.

There were reports that some believe Sanders still has gas in the tank and that the suckiness of the Panthers contributed to his mediocrity last year. If I had to guess, Mafah is a practice squad guy held in reserve for the inevitable injury to Williams or Sanders.

Unless there’s an injury to Williams I think Sanders is the practice squad call up.
Won’t be any interest in him if released and should be several comparable backs available after cuts in the off chance someone does!

Cowboys having Booker 7th/8th on their board is a good laugh.

Maybe I was wrong…they did go BPA they just absolutely suck at building the board.
