2nd, I believeWitten was a 3rd round pick.

I suspect that Deuce will end up on the practice squad or will get picked up by another team.Yeah, if you don't lock Blue on the roster, a team will snatch him. There shouldn't be any debate though.
It's going to be most interesting to see what happens with Deuce.
Me too. 3 solid starters at the top with 1st round ability.I’m glad things worked out the way they did.
No. Pretty sure everyone will still think he's a fool. LolBooker being the 7th or 8th rated player worries me about their evaluation process. But it is all subjective so maybe they are right.
But it also goes to show what this draft class was like. There were only a few true first round talents, then there was a large group that were pretty close but not standouts. Still I would love to hear how they arrived at Booker as BPA at that point in the draft.
Time will tell of course, but if Tyler Warren turns out to be a star, and Booker turns out to be average, Jerry is going to look like a fool again. Then again, if Booker turns out to be a star he will look like a genius.
3rd. T. Newman Al Johnson then Witten2nd, I believe
Same year I think we got Ware,Spears,Jones . Witten was a freak in his own right. A true technician from day 1.Witten was a 3rd round pick.
Forgot about Newman. Dude was an Ironman. Played for 15 years I think3rd. T. Newman Al Johnson then Witten
I'd rather have Booker blocking against those dtackle studs in the NFC east.Personally I would have taken Tyleik Williams
Id rather have a 2026 day 1 pick from Houston and Williams than BookerI'd rather have Booker blocking against those dtackle studs in the NFC east.
It looks like we have a solid interior oline in place for many years to come. We should see team improvement this year which will have them picking between 16 and 25 next year and should line them up to improve further in 2026.Id rather have a 2026 day 1 pick from Houston and Williams than Booker
It should be but look at the GM. The odds they cut both their RB FAs that they told us were solid signings is slim to none. There won't be any foolishness this year like they had last year with Zeke. Blue is a lock. The 2nd and 3rd backs will have to make the team and it should be a competitive battle.
Witten was a 3rd round pick.
No, Jason Witten was not drafted in the second round. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft with the 69th overall pick.2nd, I believe
Michael Irvin was drafted before Jerry right?• Tyler Booker was “7th or 8th” on the team’s big board, but Tetairoa McMillan was higher and would have been the pick if available.
• Moore asked around when the last time the team felt this good about a first-round pick from their level of play to have a high character was. The first name was Michael Irvin, and the second was Jason Witten.
• There was “a little discussion” of Jalon Walker at 12, but Booker was still rated higher.
• The Houston Texans were willing to give up a “future pick” to move to 12, but Dallas wanted more capital from this draft instead.
• Moore thinks going in, Javonte Williams will be the Cowboys primary back.
• Compared to past players, Dallas “sees some of Marion Barber” in Phil Mafah’s game.
We heard many times that after the top 4-5 blue chips, 6-25 could have gone in the same basket talent/gradewise, depending on what certain teams were looking for. In other words, after the top 5, there was no consensus BPA per seTime will tell of course, but if Tyler Warren turns out to be a star, and Booker turns out to be average, Jerry is going to look like a fool again. Then again, if Booker turns out to be a star he will look like a genius.
Just like with Mingo, I don't understand this excuse. Why did it only affect him? Why were the players who beat him out not affected by this crappy coaching or environment or whatever? There were reports that some believe Sanders still has gas in the tank and that the suckiness of the Panthers contributed to his mediocrity last year.
They were affected. They were one of the worst teams in the league.Just like with Mingo, I don't understand this excuse. Why did it only affect him? Why were the players who beat him out not affected by this crappy coaching or environment or whatever?

That is up from only 902 and 3.8 the year before.Chuba Hubbard had no issues running for 1200 yards and 4.8 YPC in Carolina.
