Some eerie similarities between where we were in 2009 and today.

I made a topic about this same thing right after the Giants loss. Basically, this season sets up just the same as 2009. We came off 2 horrible losses in 2009 in December to NYG and SD. This year was Ari and NYG. We had 3 games left at that point, 2 on the road and 1 at home. This year the same. And the first of the 3 was on Sat night on the road. We won that game in 2009 and won the game this year.

I remember in that year, the board was in full meltdown mode after that SD loss like it was this year after the NYG loss. But we still have a chance to get on a 3 game winning streak, win the East and get a home playoff game and put all that stuff behind us.

So you're saying Dallas will get blown out in the divisional playoffs?

Quite probably. In fact, if we head to Lambeau to play the Packers in the Divisional Playoffs, it could well be the second time (just like in 2009) that we got blown out by an NFC North opponent, on the road, in that round.

I get the attempt at optimism, but

It's not an attempt at optimism, just a lot of strange coincidences being pointed out.

One huge difference, that defense was super good.

Agree, but it's obviously not a spot-for-spot comparison of every factor.

That defense didn't get super good until New Orleans.

Even then we held the Commanders, Packers, Giants, Raiders and Chargers to 6, 7, 7, 31 and 20 points respectively.
