Yes, it is time for people to start realizing that even if you march out Tom Brady, Donovan McNabb, Carson Palmer, Marc Bulger or any other QB that is playing at a high level right now out there Monday Night, we still don't win that game because of the Offensive Line.

There were guys that were coming in totally unblocked.

This is the worst I have seen the Offensive Line play in a long time.

To me, this is the same OL I've seen for 3 or 4 years now. Few different names but basically, the same. In fact, I think there a little better this year. At least, they play well against the teams they should play well against. In past years, you really couldn't always say that.

Agreed. Weeks really isn't even an accurate statement. Years is probably closer to the truth.

I think all this talk about the QB and OL masks the fact that our supposed strength, defense, is really letting us down. The pass D really smells foul.

I dont know man.

I just dont remember the Line letting so many people go free up the middle and that safety was absolutely ridiculous.

And the 3 crappy teams that we played against, Tenn, Skins, and Texans either had some injuries that made them play soft or were just absolutely horrible on both sides of the ball to begin with.

And again, I am not judging the line on their body of work this year, I am saying yesterday's game was the worst I have seen in a long time.

Look, The o line is not great, that is a given. But they are NOT the worst in the league. Yes, I am wondering why they seem to make the same mistakes week after week, perhaps the blocking schemes are the problem and not the players, at this point, I don't know. I do know this, a QB that can slide step, move out of the pocket, get the ball out of his hands, made pre snaps read, that will help the O Line. Also, not mistaking mistakes and playing from behind will also help this oLine, very hard to pass block, if the D knows you are passing. Now I know last night, we were not runnng the ball that well.. but I think, when we come out in the second half, even after going down by 12 to start, we should have fed JJ the ball over the left side,, at OSI, NOT Strahn, seems we were running at the best player on the feild.

Good point bro. The O-line was dominated, and despite that you still were in the game. This team has way too much talent to be held back by the O-line. With the Cardinals lack of overall talent (of course we have some studs) the poor O-line play only makes things worse for us. The Oakland game typified that.

As someone who is from Arizona, I have the "priviledge" of watching the Arizona Cardinals play on a regular basis. I'm impressed with Matt Leinart but even he is limited by the Cardinals offensive line namely their lack of a Left and Right tackle.

Today's game showed the same weakness. We are all so enamored with who is starting at QB, that we are missing the point that we can't protect anyone who starts. Yes, Romo is more mobile than Bledsoe but even he will struggle when we face better teams. We can mask this deficiency when we play the Texans and Titans of this league. However, when we face the better teams in the NFL, it doesn't who starts at QB for us. Ultimately, we are going to lose because we can't block the better teams in the NFL.

You guys crack me up and talk playoffs and maybe we might make the playoffs but we aren't doing any damage until we take our offensive line seriously. The Cardinals are a sad organization. They try to start guards at tackles and it's a joke. But when I see one of the leagues best teams do the same thing at times, I have to ask myself, what the heck is Jerry and Bill doing? Have they not merely looked to their hated rivals in Philadelphia to see how an offense can remain consistently powerful when their offensive tackles are its strength on an annual basis?

Offensive tackle is a delicate position and you can't just stick anyone there and we seem to do that every year as if the position can be remedied by sticking Joe Scrub at RT and having Parcells and his wonderful coaching turn him into this star. Sorry, it hasn't worked since Parcells has been here and it will never work.

We are not doing anything in the playoffs this year so wake up. If we want to compete then we need to take these positions seriously next season and bring some serious talent to the tackle position either through the draft, free agency, miraculous trade or whatever. Talk Bledsoe/Romo or whatever but it doesn't matter who starts at QB until we fix our OFFENSIVE TACKLES. Notice, I didn't say offensive line since that word has been a cliche. Instead, let's be a little more specific and realize we aren't going to win anything with scrubs as our tackles. I don't even think Flozell is that great either.

Yes, Romo was more mobile today but ultimately he was forced into bad decisions because he had no time to throw just like Bledsoe. Now, I'm not a Bledsoe apologist. Bledsoe has never stopped eyeing receivers since he has been a rookie and thus he has interception written all over him but even if we had Peyton Manning at QB, we would struggle because we can't protect our QB when facing the best teams in the NFL.

I too am from Arizona and see the same thing. Our offensive line is horrid. How can any QB throw under that duress? Romo reminds me of a young Jake Plummer who is going to thrown 100 interceptions and 10 touchdowns if allowed to sling the ball around like he does while running for his life.
