Some final thoughts before the game

This should be a close, hard-fought game.

Stafford has started out slow most games this year before going infero. I don't think he can do that today and expect to win.

We will be held way below our offense average for most the game, and Dallas will have some early success on offense. Gunther is good about adjustments, so if we weather the storm, we'll be in this.

Suh is going to leave his mark on this game. He has sounded pretty motivated to do so, being 0-2 in "Jerry World". (Big 12 champ & 2010 loss) If Avril and KVB have a good statistical game, he has done what he needed to.

Final thoughts: 23-20 Dallas will win (changing from earlier prediction due to Durant being out)

If Stafford throws for 3 TDs, I see us winning. If it's 2 TDs, then nope. I see 2 TDs today.

Good game, and no injuries for either side!

It's gonna be a hard fought game but I don't see Dallas giving up 2or3 tds thru the air. Also I think suh has a good game I also see ware having a good game. After that its anyone's guess.

Good to see the Lions have returned to being contenders in the NFL after so long. Stafford and Suh along with other successes in recent drafts along with a solid coaching staff have returned your franchise to the discussion of contenders.

The process does take time and growing pains, and occassional set backs are part of it. This game will be one such. While Rob Ryan may have made some comments this week that may have been viewed as bulletin board material it represents much more. It represents a plan with real chances for success. Stafford will have many "coachable" moments tomorrow.

The Lions have too many remaining weeknesses in their game and too much inexperience at key positions. This inexperience, talented as it may be, will show itself tomorrow.

The Cowboys, wounded as they seem, are still in main, the same players who won their division two seasons ago. Wade lost the team last year, Garrett found them willing. We are not "who you think we are."

Cowboys will carry the day, despite their injuries.

Stafford must be a huge Cowboy fan to play like he has today.

Hey! Thanks for the bump!

As Minny experienced last week, it isn't over until it's over. And that's the only gloat you'll hear out of me, because we were out played most of the game.

We're excited about Stafford tho. Even when he plays like crap, he is talented enough to put the game on his shoulders when the chips are down.

Heck of a good game guys. I have a feeling you'll be in the playoffs as division champs anyway, and we'll be a wildcard as a lower seed.

You were handed the game by a choke artist QB. The inferior team won today.

We played terribly, penalties, huge deficit and still won. No offense, but the inferior team played their hearts out today, but talent won out in the end.

Talent? What game did you watch. Detroit was manhandled almost the entire game. Down by 24 points and it could easily have been more if we made a yard at the goal line or kicked a FG there. 14 points on pick 6's because of horrible play-calling and QB decisions is why your overrated team even had a chance. Merry Christmas in October dude. Just say "Thanks, Dallas was freakishly generous today and Detroit was beyond lucky". Now get out of here with your empty trophy case and keep telling yourself that "This is the year!"

Such hostility. I was just responding to a poor loser. Guess you get lumped into that also. We played terribly most of the game and erased a 24 point deficit in 1 1/2 quarters. We're a young team learning. A young team that is far better than you, because you couldn't hold a 24 point handicap. We'll lose to GB, the Saints in NO, etc so I don't think we are the second coming or anything.

Mocking me for being proud of my team? Man up and grow a pair. I've seen 0-16 as a fan. I've sat through years of record-breaking failure. My team has heart now and refuses to quit even when blown out. Even when we tried in the past, our talent wasn't able to produce. Now it is.

Sorry to the rest of the Dallas fans who have had good discussions with me this week. Been fun chatting and take care.

Get the **** off our board with that bull****... Detroit was gift wrapped that game by a QB who doesn't understand the meaning of game management and clock control.

Detroit is a horrible team and will get exposed as the year goes on you clown...

Really? Can I ask which part hurt worse, the Bobby Carpenter pick 6, or the fact you set a franchise mark for failure today? Or is it the fact that no matter how much you wail and cry, you're talking to someone who has sat through worse and doesn't care?

You can call it bad if you want, but I call it 3/4 games this year were road games and we won them all. Good teams win ugly on the road in the NFL, because the wins are hard to come by. WE PLAYED TERRIBLE, SPOTTED YOU A 24 POINT LEAD AND BEAT YOU WITHIN 1 1/2 QUARTERS OF PLAY IN YOUR BACKYARD! WE ARE BETTER THAN YOU!

I was going to enjoy talking with you guys no matter what happened. I picked my boys to lose a close one. I guess the time for nice football discussion is over. I'm out. Feel free to delete and/or ban my ID mods.

Hey man, good for you and your team today. They took advantage, fully, of everything they were given. No shame in that. I guess some people are still a little hot and are directing it to you. A comeback like that should be enjoyed by you, we're still in shock over it. Good luck and I hope we play again.
