lol

If I remember correctly That is the play we had 10 men on the field. Wade was trying to get a timeout from the sideline.

Twice tonight we had 10 men on the field and the texans didnt take advantage of it!!

As far as people complaining aobut the defense. What game are you watching. This team is just staying back. I didnt see anything but st8 ahead football again tonight. They brought some guys but they are not attacking other teams weaknesses.

Pretty funny how people are still freaking out tonight.

Have to be pleased with the 1st team offense save two plays...Romo missing another gimmee TD deep down field (Owens) and Romo's boneheaded Quincy-esque endzone interception...if not for those two plays, we end up with 31 pts and over 300 yds in one half...otherwise, everything was great

Unless they are just majorly holding back though, this defense has the looks of swiss cheese...I know getting Newman, Spencer and Burnett back will help some, but geez...the pass coverage tonight was absolutely pathetic...the pass rush was always late getting there and the run defense was shoddy. We've now played 3 preseason games and have managed one sack (on the 2nd play of preseason at that).

Then there's the special teams...been watching this team since 1975, and this years units have the making of being the worst I have ever seen. It's just a train wreck, and I cant believe Jerry let Wade keep Bruce Read. It's definitely going to lose a game or two for us this yr, absolutely no doubt about it.

Back to the good, I think other than the obvious (1st team offense) that we can all feel pretty good about Brad Johnson and Martellus Bennett...I think Doug Free looks fine as the top backup OT. Nick Folk is just money on field goals and tonight his kickoffs were excellent. Matt McBriar hit a bomb on his only punt. Adam Jones will be by far the best punt returner we've had since Deion in his prime here, and we will have a dramatic impact on field position and probably have 1 or 2 returns for TD's... Despite Felix Jones' fumble, I still feel very good about him.

I just have no confidence in the defense or special teams though...both look bad, and the expression on Phillips face tonight shown over and over again late in the 4th qtr speaks volumes for me. It's just a 3rd preseason game, and he looked like a guy who just found out his dog just died. I think he knows the defense is a huge problem and knows we're in trouble. I suspected the special teams might be an issue, but I never thought our defense would be this lousy looking even with 3 guys out.

Hopefully they (defense, special teams) prove me wrong, but it looks like to me our offense is gonna have to score 28-31 pts a week for us to win on a week to week basis. I really thought we'd win 12 or 13 games this yr, but after what I've seen so far in preseason 10 or 11 might be a more accurate prediction. We have the makings of the early 80's Chargers here IMO.

David

Special teams and fumbles, they were killer tonight... still, the starting offense was clicking again, and that's what I REALLY wanted to see tonight...

And thats exactly what i don't want to see during the season.

People complain about the pass rush but all the opposing offense does is short routes by the WRs and quick throws to them by the QB

How could the pash rush possible get there when the Qb can make a quick throw when the DBs are playing 15 yards off the WR

Does anyone even remember the exitement that came along with the announcment of Wade as HC?...That if nothing else, he was bringing that much vaunted defense to Dallas?...I can't even believe there was any belief that was ever going to happen knowing what we know now...This is about a vanilla a D as you're gonna see

My thoughts on tonights game are: if a few people on the first team offence goes down the Boys would be in deep trouble... I mean 3 whole points in the entire second half.....Brad Johnson I am sorry just plain stinks.... how does he even have a job in this league?

No, Jenkins was on the field, but he was so far off the receiver that you couldn't see him at the top of the screen.

Oh really thanks 4 the great insight. Here's another insight if Tom Brady gets hurt. The pats are in trouble.

well twice tonight we had 10 men. I know one time it was 3rd and 4 in the 2nd quarter and bradie james was clapping and yelling at the sideline to see who was supposed to be out there. He was covering a wr!!!!!

Schaub missed it both times. It would have been a gimme touchdown.

Our sideline is a mess, just like last preseason. there are just too many damn people on the sideline right now.

no too many players! There is all kinds of confusion on substitutions. It was that way last year too. Not a big deal. You could see it being a problem in the 4th qtr with the young guys.

Our first team D got pushed around after the 1st quarter. Pretending that it's all good won't change that.

I agree with you on this I'm upset that Felix didn't get any first team reps. I wanted to see those packages with him and Barber....

So did the Commanders.

We got threw this EVERY preseason, and EVERY preseason people forget that Wade Phillips 3-4 scheme is an attack based scheme. Sending players from all different angles at all different times. BUT, in the preseason we play a VERY vanilla straight up 3-4 with very little if any blitzing.

If you play a 3-4 based scheme and do NOT blitz and stunt and the likes you WILL get pushed around, that is a FACT. The 3-4 scheme was not designed to play head up with an offense and be able to stand its ground.

I still think Romo needs to run more often, when it is wide open. He did it last night and gained 10 yards. He could have run it in on the interception. If he runs just once in a while, when it's open, it gives the defense something to think about, and there isn't much more room for thinking against this offense.

It did? That is news to me. I saw a qb throwing off his back foot. They ran the ball pretty good but you are not going to stop anything.

once again I didnt see anything in the defense to be concerned with right now.

I dont need to pretend anything thanks.

Agree with the OP........Special Teams are the worst I've seen here since I can remember. Possibly, the worst ever. Can't win the SB if they don't step it up - and I don't mean a little........we have some REAL problems on ST.

Agreed, I liked how right before Tony ran, Big Davis was right next to him looking for another rusher to take out and then tried to follow Tony on his run with his 4.19 speed. :D

Just click play on the video shown.
