The way its looking to me is that the Cowboys are sending out a smoke screen that WR could be their target, but OL and DE will be the target in rounds 1 and 2. I still dont see them taking a DT. They have drafted a ton of those the last 3 years.

For what I gather, not a smoke screen at all. Now this doesn't mean the first two rds, but think it the first 2 days. Think you have the other two priority needs down, also add TE.

They have the top 3 WR's all coming in for a visit. To me that has to be the smoke screen.

As far as them taking one in rounds 3 or later, I think they should. TE they are clearly looking at rounds 3-5.

I'm totally against taking another 1st rd receiver, but it wouldn't surprise what so ever, especially after losing Cooper. I would take advantage of a deep class and take 1 in that 3rd rd range, kind of like when they drafted Gallup.

I really don’t get the love for Williams. I’m no scout and only watch highlight clips but he isn’t a quick twitch athlete. You can tell he is fast but he can’t bend or change directions well at all.

2. (Insert WR here)
3. Sam Williams(possibly a slight trade up in 3rd)

For me ...

1 - Zion Johnson
2- George Pickens
3- Sam Williams

I listened to the plug and play podcast this morning with Dane, Broaddus and Jeff. Dane who is one of the better media scouts, made a few interesting comments:

-There are 9 top receivers in this draft class, he believes there is a chance 1 or multiple make it to pick 56. Here is his 9, in no particular order: Williams, London, Wilson, Olave, Burks, Dotson, Pickens, Watson, Moore.

-David Bell ran poorly at his pro day, but he is a good late day 2 prospect. He said, you don't draft him for his speed. He is another one that could be a good pick in that late 3rd rd range.

-Has Zion Johnson over Kenyon Green and believes Ed Ingram could be more of a day 3 pick. Thinks Penning is a top 15 pick, even could go top 10.

-Believes Tyler Smith will be a top 40 pick, but scares the hell out of him, believes he should be taken later.

-Cowboys should consider, Penn State's Ebiketie at 24, says he is very twitched up. Doesn't like Mafe as a 1st rd pick, but believes he gets selected there.

-Has a 3rd rd grade on Sam Williams and said there are serious character issues that teams need to investigate. My thinking is, he has a chance to slip to the team's 3rd rd selection. If this is the case, perhaps, they could take 1 of those 9 receivers and still land Williams.

The Cowboys scouts really, really liked (still like) Matt Farniok. It wouldn't surprise me if Jurgens was flashing all over those game films.

Jurgens was one of the top Tight End recruits coming out of high school. He was also an all-state basketball player and track (shotput, discus). Incredibly high ceiling.

Broaddus doesn't seem very high on him and I've yet to hear or ready why.

I think size is gonna hurt him.....he came in @ 6'3 303....at the combine. 4.92 40.....25 on the bench. Hmmmmm....

Interesting numbers. He came in bigger and stronger than I expected after looking @ his #s.

I got him penciled to the Giants.... 3/67 in my mock right now. I would be really shocked if he went higher.

But he sure seems like a guy that is shooting up boards right now.
