Some mild optimism

Well I do t find it depressing at all. Maybe very slightly disappointed they didn’t sign any players that could step in and help. But I am not depressed, angry, upset mad or crying in my drink type attitude.

Tomorrow is another day and plenty of players out there. Including some of our own.

i dont see many worth signing. at this point, i would be very happy with cooper and a decent mlb.

I was encouraged they made an offer to Watkins. Shows they recognize the receiving group needs an infusion of speed.

drafting is inexact and success is not guaranteed.
putting players in the best position to be successful is controllable and should be guaranteed.

But don't you know they are so good at drafting that they don't even need to mess with trades or F.A.

His world record broad jump made him the best safety in the draft. Landon Collins couldn't come close to jumping as far as him.
They aren't the same type player. Collins is in the box strong safety. Jones is not, he is more of a coverage safety. Not sure why people keep bringing up Collins. We had a ton of strong safeties that year. We needed..... And still need a free safety

You do realize Collins is used all over the field. He was the best safety in that draft we drafted a corner and tried to make him a safety.

Collins isn't good in coverage, you know that right. His best fit is a in the box safety. Even if he was great in coverage and the run you think our coaches would put him in a position to succeed...... The answer is no

He is not great in man coverage very true. But don't our safeties play alot of zone? We could have always just put heath at the FS spot. If we are talking about coverage how come Collins has 28 pd byron has 23 and collins has 8 ints byron has 2, which is really 1 i don't count halftime hail marys. It's not even close fam. I also wouldn't say byron is great in coverage his lapse in coverage cost us a playoff game. Well him and the refs

We didn't need a SS in that draft we needed a FS. Not really sure how else to put it for you to understand

In the depressing 1st day of free agency, I actually have a positive thought.
They want to move Byron Jones to CB.
They want to move Jaylon to SLB.
Those may play better to the strength of the player instead to the desire of one rigid Marinelli.
Perhaps this shows that the FO is quietly moving on from Marinelli and to the pass defense coordinator.
Good thoughts.

More optimism. The Cowboys will have about 2 billion dollars in cap room next year.

Most of it goes to Zach Martin of course.
