I say go after felix jones or a shiftier back. We need a speedy runner who at least has some modicum of toughness after first contact...

sheesh I'm glad JJ is gone

Rice.

If we don't go RB in round 1 and he's still there at the start of the 2nd... then we need to do whatever we need to and move up to the early part of the second and nab Rice.

He'd be great teamed with Barber, IMO.

We could go CB (Jenkins), WR (Hardy or Jackson), then Rice. That would be a NICE first two rounds.

This sounds sensible to me. :D

guess not...... :laugh2:

If you bothered to read the earlier threads, I mentioned that I assumed he would be gone by our 2nd round pick. I think he'll be gone by early/mid 2nd round.

I think the key thing a 3rd down back would have to do is excel at blitz pickup. Otherwise, he's not going to see the field. I don't know enough about any of these guys to know if they can do it.

Are either of the backs from Clemson coming out? I think one of them pulled his name out after he committed. They are both great backs particularily James Davis.

What about the kid from ECU that is about 230 and ran a 4.3.

Johnson from ECU is only 205 or so. Didnt look it up. The kid from Oregon is 230, Stewart.

Raphael Little from UK would be a good late round choice. I've watched this guy the past four years and he's an explosive runner and can make the catch out of the backfield. The only negative has been his inability to remain healhy. Had he avoided injuires during his career, he'd be a 2nd or third round back.

He could be interesting as our 3rd RB. Hopefully we can land a guy like him late in the draft. In any case, Little and Coleman could battle it out for the 3rd running back position.
