"Single handedly"? Really?

Yes really. Look at Jerry's 1995 lawsuit over merchandising and look at when the NFL "took off". If business analysts can't see that the massive % growth for NFL teams occured following that lawsuit and prior to Goodells era, then they deserve everything they have coming to them due to their failure to remove their blinders. Goodell has done nothing but ride the bow wave that was established prior to his arrival.

The current business model of revenue sharing is because if Jerry.
His business acumen grew rhis league. No other owners had the foresight to do it so yeah when it comes to the business if the NFL he us without doubt the alpha male.
Almost a complete opposite to him as a GM

Wait...what? The league was the most popular sport in America long before Jerry showed up. and would be doing well if he had never been born.

...or. more likely, not. This is the other owners sending a shot across Jerry's bow, nothing more.

Im guessing its the owners that have the power to re-sign Goodell that made this threat.

Saw earlier that Jerry was asked about this on the radio and he called it laughable and said anyone who thinks those reports are credible has no idea how the NFL actually works, or something to that affect.

Didn't hear the comments myself.

No, it's not.

Yes it is. I hope you've personally never had to see a doctor break bad news, but you're vastly misled if you think that the only damage from metastatic cancer is to the patient. Would you enjoy telling Roger Goodell AND his family--including his 2 daughters--that diagnosis?

money. Jerry forced the NFL to change its business ways. If that is not specific enough for you to see the light take a look at the average worth of a NFL Franchise in 1989 vs say 2000. Or even now. You have absolutely no IDEA of what you are babbling about.

A lot of teams struggled to make a profit back then.

Home game blackouts were common because of lack of attendance and the stadiums were smaller.
