theebs, you provided the first shots of those huge glass doors that I think I have seen. I've been wondering what they would look like.

Oh, and thanks for posting. My contribution to the dumbing of this post.

Every time I look at that thing I think of Noah's ark.
With Captain Jerry Jones at the wheel, let's hope it doesn't turn into the Titanic.

Still, it is an awesome stadium:starspin

those things are pretty cool. that is the entrance I imagine I will go in and everyone else most weeks.

it is going to be some kind of sight to see those all wide open and everyone walking in.

I cant wait to see how hot it is in there, the ballpark is absolutely stifling hot, there is no wind it seems ever in that area. So with the sun beating through that glass and through the hole in the roof, august, september and october might be pretty rough....Unless of course they close it all up and put the air, which will royally stink.

the landscaping around the outside is coming together pretty quick and all the lots around the stadium seem to be paved. the area where they gave virtual tours and sold tickets, the little trailer they had setup on the corner of collins and ballpark way is all paved.

I hope in time they clean out the low rent motels and retail places around there, driving on division it looks like the biggest ghetto ever, turn the corner and it looks like a postcard!

anyway, cant wait to see it lit up at night.

I'll bet you anything they close it up on all but the most perfect of weather days.

Which is my one regret about this stadium. It's absolutely ridiculous and shameful for a stadium in Texas to be closed up. If Buffalo and Green Bay and other teams can put up with far worse weather in open-air stadiums, I don't know why we can't. But people just expect to be "comfortable".

It kind of makes me sick, actually. It's the one negative about the new place.

yea I am a fan of the elements and really really dislike domes.

What I am hoping is that it is open from october till december for all games.

It seems it is very warm here until the day before thanksgiving. The sunday game before turkey day is always 80 and then on thursday it is like 45 and raining/snowing/windy! And december is all over the place!

Division is pretty awful, tho I don't recall seeing much ghetto on that side. Maybe we have different definitions of what a ghetto looks like.

I've driven by there a lot and it's just a bunch of used car lots and auto repair shops. Tacky yes. Ghetto no. It made sense at one time, because Division leads right to the GM auto plant.

And truthfully, how many people will be driving down Division to get to the stadium? I'd say a good 90% will go come from I-30 to get to the stadium and will only turn on Division long enough to get to the parking lot.

Well your absolutely right. I didnt mean to say all of division, just the block behind the stadium where bodacious bar bq, the funeral home, the putt putt and those old motels that look like something out of a horror movie.

When you cross collins and go down division, that is where the dealers are and that area is fine. I think when the glory park project gets underway the area I am talking about is going to be turned into upscale shops and condos, which will be really nice.

I really just meant the contrast between the drive down ballpark way, which is the road that shares the stadium and the ballpark and then when you turn down stadium and right onto division...Its pretty rough back there.

Another note, they have turned collins into a 6 lane road, added all new streetlights and also turned the part of division I am talking about into a bigger road with new lights and extra turning lanes. That left turn off stadium drive to divsion takes you right to 360 and will be very busy.

Its going to be pretty fun to see how far away you can see those outdoor screens in the area. I know I have been in the guitar center parking lot across I-30 on collins and you can see the stadium and one of the screens, so at night when they are on I imagine they will be visible for quite a ways!

Cant wait.

Look! It's the WILLIS TOWER.

The Sears Tower is a national landmark, everyone in the Willis Group should be murdered.

I don't care what the suits say, that's the Sears tower. that little English insurance agency can get on the tug boats and take their business back across the pond

I'd love to see some pictures of the inside, I wonder how that scoreboard looks now with the screen installed.

What's dumb is throwing a racial slur at our players in game threads and then claiming your roommate did it. You know what i'm talking about.

Not quite as dumb as spouting off at the mouth about some racist crap during a game and blaming it on the roommate.

Beat you to it:p:

But i'm glad i'm not the only one who remembers that.

How could I forget it. It was ridiculous. Even worse, it was Pacman that got hurt by Frazier and this guy is blowing up like someone took a cheap shot at a player people should actually feel sympathy for.
