Some predictions on this board are ridiculous

Confucius told me the Cowboys win 34-16. :D 2nd half adjustments will create the separation. Is it game time yet????

he did say he wanted dallas to win desperately.

Forget it. The lemmings are incorrigible. In case they haven't noticed, the Cowboys have been bad for a long long long long time. And I'm to blame for, you know, noticing that. Utter a discouraging word about Roy's coverage skills and you're instantaneously branded a "hater." I expected that sort of vacuity at The Ranch but not here. My bad.

no, go too far and the axe will come down

There ya go... bring up stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand.

yeah

when it's 2 good teams playing in that rivalry, which isn't going to be the case tomorrow

if i'm basing that on what i've seen so far this season, i would tend to agree.

the only thing i'm hoping for is a team with its back against the wall and the season on the line with a healthy rested D (for the first time this season), a bunch of decent underachieving talent coming together (on both sides of the ball) and 90,000 strong at fed ex screaming in a qb's ear who is starting his first nfl game against a hated foe.

Question: Do I have to predict a Commanders win to be "reasonable"?

Look, I don't know about any of these fifty point blowout predictions, but picking your team to win on sunday doesn't necessarily deem one a "blinded homer", or for that matter make someone incapable of using reason and objectivity. Why can't someone use reason and objectivity and come to the conclusion that the Cowboys will win. They should, after all, win this game. That certainly doesn't mean I'm dismissing the Skins, don't get me wrong, I'll be nervous as he!! tomorrow.

oh, no. he has a point there. just like any fans of any popular player on the team. no one wants to accept criticism of said player.

any criticism of williams is frowned upon.

I think you're completely misunderstanding all of my posts. I HAVE NOT said ANYTHING about what I think the outcome of the game will be.

My point in this thread is that its completely ridiculous for a Cowboys "fan" to ANXIOUSLY wait for other COWBOY FANS predictions to be wrong so he can say "I told you so!".

That said, I believe the Cowboys will win but I'm unsure whether it will be a close game or not. I do fear that the Cowboys may come out a little flat while the Commanders may come out fired up and get after it. I certainly have my concerns about this game and every game. I don't run around with blinders on. If someone predicts we're gonna win by 50, that's their opinion. I will graciously disagree with them and offer my thoughts on why I think it may be different than they think. But I WILL NOT run around waiting for the opportunity to say I told you so because one of my fellow Cowboy fans was a little off on their thoughts of the game.

I understand what you are saying......but bbgun has been a devout Cowboy fan for many years. Yes, he can be a little unoptiistic, but I honestly believe he is simply trying to point out how tough he expects this game to be.

Don't get me wrong, I don't always agree w/Mrbbgun either, but I would be very surprised, if we lose tomorrow, he will running around telling us "I Told You SO".

If he does I will be on him as quick as a flea on a dog.:D

enough with the fighting fellas..........

we're not eagles fans.

by labeling those who think we'll win "lemmings"?...gimmie a break. If he's smart enough to be right all of the time, as he would have us believe, he can figure out a way to point out the complexities of this game without acting like a child.

As a DC resident, no one wants to beats the Skins more than moi. All I ask is for a little respect for our opponent and a little restraint. Tracking down Romo's grandparents tells me things have gotten a tad out of hand. Even the Arizona game is no gimme if they play it like their Super Bowl. Let's pull back from the brink of insanity, people.

I can understand that. He just sure has one heck of a way of communicating that thought.

Calling him a "pathetic fan" is just as childish.....so why don't we all knock off the personal attacks.

Keep the thread civil please.

i personally think we will win a tough game tomorrow against a bitter rival in their house.

having said that..........carolina receivers dropped a hell of alot of passes sunday that could of turned the game in their favor.

especially the keyshawn drop at the 15

the slant to steve smith would have probably gone to the house had he caught it.

the difference is... we capitalized on their mistakes and won a game we needed in the worst way.

hopefully we'll win tomorrow in a very hostile enviroment against a very desperate rival.

I completely agree with you here bbgun. Some people on the forum are wanting to talk about the Indy game already and I just can't do it. With how we looked in the Giants game I think this squad needs to be focused for EVERY opponent we face.

I have respect for our opponent.. I just took offense to a fellow Cowboy fan waiting for the chance to say "I told you so" if the Boys didn't have as big of a performance as those fans had "hoped" (or predicted).

The Commanders DO have the talent to play very well. They just haven't played to their potential... which DOES make for a very tough game if they actually DO come out playing well.

I agree. Here's my peace offering.

if it's warranted, such as saying coverage is ROy's weakness, I accept it, but to proclaim him glaringly deficient there is what I have a problem w/

I haven't read this thread, but from this I agree with bbgun whatever his point was.

It doesn't matter if we respect our opponent or not, it doesn't matter if we predict blowouts, or close games.

Its not like what we think will change the outcome of the game.

Just sit back and enjoy the Romo Express
