Some Putty perspective

the offense started worst than expected.
the defense started in pretty much the best case scenario.
currently not a contender and the rams would roast this team as it stands.

so the questions are:
oline - does playing together and more experience solidify the line without tfred? it will get better, but doubtful it would be a good run blocking line.
tfred - knock on wood, he gets back by mid/late season. perhaps the biggest question for the season.
wrs - the fas does soften the wr rebuild. are they as good as last year by mid season, probably. is there upside? some. though probably drafting a wr high next season.
tes - rico is the big hope. swaim is playable but barely. best case the other guy just blocks.
dak - he is a rpo type guy and he needs a multi-wr look to be comfortable. is it a matter of more playing time with the new guys to really get him back on track?

the d is looking good and will be better as more passrushers come back in gregory and irving.
looks like a top 5 d or even better if passrushers kick in.

if tfred comes back 100%, we got a chance to give dak the time and security.
otherwise we are talking tanking after game 8.

Unless Frederick comes back and is pro bowl form, there is zero hope for a great season. The Oline simply cant recover. T Smith will never be the same. If anything, the line will probably get worse and nicks and injuries hamper the current starters.

The defense I can see getting better with Gregory and Irvin. Dak and the receiver chemistry can certainly get better. Zeke not being rusty can get better.

The o line has started slow every year for the first 2 or 3 games. Without a preseason it may be 4 or 5.
