You would be surprised the book on him is he is you need to line him up on your sideline so the coaches can yell to him what to do. In other words he is football dumb as it pertains to offense.
Oh, wow. That's a big NOPE.

We save five million in cap space if we move Romo. Any big fa deal is always structured for larger cap hits at the end of the deal.

Please explain how this is going to keep us from a big signing this year.

I already clarified my reasoning. I think it wouldn't be wise to be a big spender, but conceded the possibility of being one.

-I think we will bring back either Carr or Claiborne. Most likely Claiborne as he will only get a 1 year deal.

-I think we will bring Wilcox back and let Church walk. Wilcox looks like a 2 or 3 year deal guy right now.

- Williams is 50/50 IMO. There is a possibility a team will over pay him. If so, he will walk. I dont see Butler back.

- 3 names to remember during FA Jarvis Jones, Cordarelle Patterson and Barkavious Mingo. Failed first rounders Dallas may kick the tires on. I could see one or two of the three in camp next season. I think Patterson would be the only one that makes it out of camp a Dallas Cowboy

- A larger signing then normal could occur. Nothing like Oliver, but I could see Dre Kirkpatrick or Jabaal Sheard.

-I think we will get a day 2 pick for Romo. Im banking on a 3rd, but a 2nd is possible IMO

- I think our predraft visits will stack 1st round DEs, 1st round CBs, and 1st round WR with some rando's. This could be a year we take one of those rando's (Martin, Zach). 2nd round prospects I think you will see a stack of TE's and more DE, WR, CB. 3rd to 5th, I think you will see more OT's, LBs and Safeties.

-If im correct in my Romo trade, you could see a trade up for a coveted DE. Adding another day 2 pick would give them the ammo needed to movr and not compromise the rest of the draft. However, I don't think they would do that for any other position.

- Two names to remember for the draft. Adoree Jackson, Dawaune Smoot. They love elite athletes at the CB position and Smoot is scheme fot at RDE and Marinelli has alot of ties to the Illini staff. They can get more info on Smoot then any other DE in the class

I think that Claiborne played his way into a multi year deal with the way he has played this year despite his injuries. i think that someone will offer him a multi year deal.

If they do it will be very similar to Lee's

Claiborne ain't taking another one year deal.

He only played 7 games this year and this was the only one of five years in the league where he played at a high level. Its possible someone offers him a multiyear contract, but its better for the player and the team for him to come back on a one year deal and play for a really big contract after 2017.

Contracts are given on potential and I think he started to figure IT out this season. In a passing league CBs are at a premium and we gave him the 'show me' contract this season. I don't think we can get it again. There's nothing in a one year contract that will benefit Mo, it will only benefit the Cowboys this go round. And with an old Carr and a beat up Scandrick, Mo is holding the better hand. This could all be for not if Mo craps the bed in the playoffs.

I think there is a lot of benefit in a one year contract for Claiborne. If he signs the same deal as last year (one year that can earn him 5M with incentives) and has a great year, he is going to be a much, much bigger contract than he would this offseason.

For example, 1 year at 5MM and then 4 years at 40 Million is a much better deal than 3 years at 18 Million.

I see Church as the guy they may bring back as he is more consistent than Wilcox. Wilcox is a bigger hitter but sometimes gets lost in coverage. Remember Frazier is also making an impact and I think he starts next to Jones next year with Heath as the backup.

Unless Butler bombs in the playoffs, then he comes back. Much cheaper option than Williams will be and frankly better hands in the long term although I expect us to draft a WR in the first 3 rounds and possibly the first if a Mike Williams or JuJu falls close to where we are drafting.

Patterson would be an interesting piece to add and no one is going to pay him big money for just the one year production as mainly a return guy because he just has not been reliable at WR, YET! He has the skills but again don't think he will go the first week of free agency so he should be there when Dallas starts to make moves in free agency.

Nice to think about Kirkpatrick and/or Sheard but based on how McClay, Stephen and Jason are doing things, I wouldn't bet on it even be close to happening.

IF we trade Romo and that is a HUGE IF, then it is not going to happen until after June 1st simply for salary cap implications which means we could get a reasonably high draft pick in 2018 not 2017. Cutting or trading him after June 1st gives us $14 million under the cap that makes better sense for signing guys to extensions in 2017 and 2018 such as Martin, Collins, and some of the defensive. Remember also, Jerry is NOT going to trade Romo to just any team, it will be a team of Romo's choosing whether we like that line of thinking or not. I have to believe that Romo's landing spots are more likely Denver, Houston, and if Linehan gets the Jacksonville job then Jacksonville.

As to the draft, have to wait and watch to where McClay and staff start to go because it will be names that we don't expect for sure. Besides we already have our 2017 1st round pick in Jaylon Smith in reality.
