Again pointing the finger at where it doesn't need to be pointed out. Blaming Kiffin when anyone with a brain knew this is a patchwork defense. There is is a reason why guys like Sapp and Dungy said Kiffin wasn't going to turn this defense overnight. You need players, playmakers to do that and not guys from the waiver wire.

not me....

Me neither!

I was just observing how quick some of these guys turn on people.

It's too early to make a snap judgement like this... especially when you think about the fact that Denver has been torching teams all season long.

Excuses. Ryan did a better job with more injuries. I am not having any of this.

That's a valid point.

It's just interesting how if you go back a couple weeks, praise was being heaped on Kiffin & Marinelli, and now some of you are ready to pull out the pitchforks and run them out of town.

We had 1 good game against the freaking Rams dude. Other than the Rams, we have given every QB we have played over 400 yards.

You think we should be giving cookies to the defensive coaching staff for the great job they are doing..................................HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Your thought has a flaw though as I stated earlier, this defense has been getting torched all year minus the Rams game...they fired Ryan as the scapegoat and the bottom line is this defense can't keep people out of the end zone

Right, and I acknowledged your point as being valid.

What I was talking about is the fact that, for the most part, folks on this site were falling all over themselves talking about how Kiffin & Marinelli were the best pickups of the off season. Now, 5 games in, people are already throwing in the towel on coaches they were so excited about a few short weeks ago.

This has to be the worst defense i have ever seen. This scheme is full of holes. I hope all you Ryan haters got what you deserved. You got your 4-3 and old man Kiffen and it is one of the worst defenses in the league. Ryan rolls on with the Saints at 5-0. Shows their lack of football knowledge.

Thank you. I was not a fan of firing Rob Ryan at all. I hated it. When Dallas was healthy last year, we had a top 10 defense until the injuries. What's the ******* point in TOs when you are giving up 500 plus yards of offense every game. Jerry Jones is the idiot here. No continuity, no football knowledge, and an egomaniac.

You guys hated Zimmer, you guys hated Wade, you guys hated Rob, and now you hate Kiffin. When will you guys hate the worthless players?

yep i've always given more hell to the players. never understood the infatuation with constantly running coordinators out of town.

I was fine with firing RR, but why junk the 3-4?? We spent 8 freaking years building it up, and we abandoned it the second we finally had a group of playmaking LB's to run it.

What's even worse is the coordinator we should have hired in the first place was available last offseason: Ray Horton. And he's doing an awesome job in Cleveland.

How about some of our defensive players have some pride and step up to the challenge instead of us blaming the coaching

Dallas has always had success as a 4-3 defense, so naturally thats what I want to see.
That being said, we didn't have enough impact players to play ryan's type of 3-4, and don't have enough to play kiffen's 4-3.

But we did. Lee and Carter were emerging stars in the 3-4, they are jags in this system and so is Ware. Admittedly, some of his drop in production could be attributed to age and injury, but you don't just fall off a cliff like this that quickly.

Keep the 3-4, get an actual NT, and play some press coverage. That's all we needed to do to make the defence passable. Instead we got a whole new system switch and it'll be another 3-4 years in wilderness stumbling around between different coordinators struggling to find the right mix of players.

Are we sending Lee and Ware off with him? If you're not, it won't matter.

And he'll go to another team and field a top defense. When you see former coordinators like Mike Zimmer, Wade Phillips, Rob Ryan having success elsewhere...I don't think it's the coordinator that is the issue every year. It's the guy drafting and putting these players on the field. The only time we really had a poor coordinator was Brian Stewart
