Somebody has to mention it, is N.O. a trap game?

It's a clíché, but tradition here mandates we discuss the "trap game" every time our Boys play an inferior team.
How about it, handsome but strange men?
So, let us all get mussed up and fussy about the mighty saints!

Holla and brings me a dollah!

Beware Kamara.
N.O. allowed Carolina only 10 pts.
Carr passed for 200 yards (average chap)
Having been unexpectedly punked as recently as last season (Cardinals/Packers) I'd be surprised if this team is looking past the Saints,,, though I will say that the term "exposed" might be more appropriate for those games. The Cowboys defense had serious weaknesses (and perhaps still does) and there's always a chance that a decent opposing defense will bully the OL or rattle Dak. The fan expectations might be where the actual "trap" is occurring.

I'm not sure if I buy into the idea of a trap game, but if there are trap games, I don't think you can have a trap game in week 2.

If Lattimore and Fuaga are out there are zero excuses.

My big concern is Saints come out firing and get a few quick scores and we are forced to pass to keep up.

This is not a trap game. It is a calibration game. Both teams had blow out wins last week. Both teams will face each other and we'll see which team was the fraud last week.

This thread reminds me of why I'm glad I'm not a fan of MLB

Imagine trying to put importance or logic on the early games of a 162 games season?.....yawn.
100% agreed.

However, with the Ravens and Giants coming, we need this win to likely be 3-1 after the Giants game.

I don't think so. they are not taking them lightly. the trap game is the steelers game

I've been thinking about this being a trap. It feels it but it's also the home opener so I'm going to say no.

The Saints just out talent us today. It happens.

Fans do. I hear them on sports talk radio. Not even 20 games into the season they're griping.

New Orleans is a good team with a very good QB, coming off of a lopsided win in game one. Our loss to them would only be a loss vs. a good team and not a "trap" game, by an accurate definition. It's just a game that we could possibly lose, if we fail to perform at our best.

We tried to tell 'em.

Well the first game of the playoffs was a trap game for these same players, so you never know when they'll no show.
And of course they no showed. Anyone that believes this team will show up when it matters is a moron.

Until today nothing in the Saints impressed me.
I was just wary of Kamara.
I don't think he is as good as we are bad up front. Real bad.
