Someon'e getting an Extension today per Jerry!

Can anyone confirm hearing Jerry say that? I'm a little too excited about seeing who gets the extension.

Would it make more sense for us to tender MB3 at season's end for the max and possibly lose him for a first and third rounder?

I'll take a first and a third for him all day, every day... I like him just fine, but he's not THAT good...

How is he going to "develop speed?"

The same way Reese Bobby developed speed for his son Ricky-- we tape a kilo of cocaine to his butt, then drop a dime on him to the local law enforcment types...

Or there's always the cougar... :D

I wouldn't.

Suppose its a team late in the 20s. Only really getting 2nd and 4th.

Not worth it IMO.

I've been waiting all day to find out who we resigned. Did we all get trolled by Jerry? :(

Yeah but we can always match the offer. The NFL banned "poison pills" and I doubt someone pays him Tomlinson money, especially if they have to give up 2 draft choices when Michael Turner could be had for free.

Say, Marshawn Lynch and a third rounder? I'd have no interest in that kind of a deal. MBIII is a significant talent at RB in a year when we're already likely to let JJ walk. I think it would be foolish to expose him.

I remember watching that bowl game with K State and AZ State and thinking i'd be thrilled with either player, and both played really well.

Back then i was foolish enough to think we had our QB:rolleyes: :bang2:
I think Newman played like 80 plays that game, he was in offense quite a bit.

Hamlin only has a one year deal. So it wouldn't be an extension, would it?

Well it's still the current year of the contract. So if he gets a new deal during this year it's technically an extention.

Still.......................Waiting....................................

Poison pill contracts are not banned

you sure? I don't have a link but I remember Taglibue (sp?) banning them after the whole Seahawks/Vikings thing involving Steve Hutchinson and Nate Burleson (wonder who came out ahead there?)
