am i dreaming... ?

Romo is Burning
It has become abundantly clear that Tony Romo is a budding superstar. He's looked very good in every start, and is gaining obvious confidence with every series. For the rest of this year, you can start Romo in every game because he doesn't have a single "stopper" defense remaining. Looking ahead to 2007 for keeper leaguers, since he's young, you'll want to give him serious consideration for one of your keeper slots. With a solid receiver corps, he could be a top-five quarterback within a year or two. Just think, if T.O. actually held on to the ball, he could be really good.
sorry, but i feel like i am dreaming right now. (a GREAT dream!)
when Romo went in for Drew, i was REALLY excited b/c i felt like we have been on this Quincy/Vinny/Drew, etc carousel for FAR too long... and those guys were not taking us anywhere. regardless of what people say, it is my belief that you need way more than a "bus driver" to have success in this league.
my expectations of Romo were very tempered, and thought as long as this kid can just show me a little improvement from week to week, i could live with his mistakes.
3 weeks and 3 road games later i am straight up SHOCKED at how well he has handled this whole thing. I mean, this is NOT supposed to be happening. Certainly not to an UFA who was never expected to be more than a clipboard holder.
what exactly is going on here? and if this kid is as good as he has played so far, WHAT IN THE WORLD was Tuna doing leaving him on the bench??? (other than maybe doing a favor to "his guy" Bledsoe?)
if his path continues, and he continues to flourish with minimal mistakes then it certainly appears that we finally have struck GOLD in an area that we has eluded us for the past 10 years... :bang2:
can i get an amen?
it's still very early yet, but let's hope and pray this kid is the real deal and he keeps his wits about him and doesn't get too far ahead of himself. (aka - eat the cheese)
i can only imagine if he is somehow able to lead us to a win this weekend and hands the vaunted "Manning" and crew their 1st Loss this weekend that the national hype machine will officially be turned up to a blazing level unseen since the early days of Troy's tenure.
we can only hope... but regardless of this weekend's outlook, it appears that we are now much, much closer to the promised land for years to come.
