Duck hunter faces jail after posting Facebook photo of 64 shot birds

Hunting fan Lowry posted a photo showing 64 dead blue-winged teal ducks along with 12 hunters.

The Kid + 12 hunters = 13 * 4 = 52

SO all they have to do is claim they all shot one more duck a piece.

Only people who care about this are people who are totally against hunting.

And I assure you, the other 12 didn't all get thier limits +1. And if they claim they did, and the Game Warden starts writing tickets, their stories will change and they will rat out Lowry.

There's nothing wrong with hunting, but the limits are law, not suggestion.

As a duck hunter, well not as much any more, I can assure you said hunters no the regs through and through as the Game Wardens are most stringent on duck hunters...

Buddy of mine shot a robot buck from his truck once. They took his guns and his 30k Chevy.

I went fishing over the summer and a guy I was with pulled out his copy of the regs.

I was shocked. I'm not even that old and I don't remember a time where I've seen so many laws.

Have to use barbless hooks in some areas, live bait only in others and the areas fluctuate almost yearly.

He looked at me and said, "You bet I carry the regs. They change them all the time and getting one of those tickets wouldn't be fun".

brings back fond memories of high school days before they outlawed spotlighting. loved getting 20 odd bucks for a coon back then too. Nothing like a bunch of drunk idiots piling out of a pickup with 22's in the middle of the night. good times

It was me making an unfair stereotype. I was essentially implying that someone who likes those things is a redneck and would of course go hunting and break a law such as the one broken. Let it be known that I am in no way against hunting. It's just that growing up in rural southeastern ohio has ingrained into me a hatred for hicks and rednecks who hate that book learnin and are all about huntin', feeshin', partyin' and deer slayin'.

While not all people who hunt are these individuals, I, being surround by their ignorance my entire childhood, have grown to categorize them all as such and find it hard to contain my contempt for them.

Yes I realize this is an unfair prejudice, and yes I try to fight it, but it did not surprise me in the least that someone such as him would list his interests as such.

I am from the South... hunter, fisherman... all the stereotypes...

I am also educated, like many of us... I assure you there are *******s among us, but by and large, Southerners are excellent managers of land and game...

DU is the best conservationist organization in the world...

Having worked all over the US extensively, the definition of rednecks abound in high numbers in the Northeast especially...
