He's not stupid, he's just no longer capable of carrying the mail. He's too old and too stubborn. It happens. That's why people retire in their 60s. He needs to go enjoy his grandkids and the horses.

sorry but I don't see it, my father since he hit 60 has changed immensely, understanding how short his life is and how little he really knows. He tells me all the time about how he never knew a thing till his 60th, and all he knew then was to shut up and learn. Age doesn't bring stubborness to the intelligent it brings a realization you don't know all. I get the same sense off big bill. I just don't see him the same way a lot of people do. He is too smart for that.

you think parcells is so stupid as to think that giants team and this cowboys team are in the same league huh?

realistically they probably are....1980's vs 2007 But BP this is not the 1980's and that is my biggest problem with parcellls..the game has pst him bye he is playing a 1980's defense in 2007...

I think its best to have him back as Cowboys HC (there no one else available)primarly to keep continuity and push again in 2007..long term no way he has to GO away in 2008..

Parcells might be a genious but bottomline is in 4 years here we have not won a playoff game and we still have many holes on the O-line and on Defense. His failure to adjust in game is pathetic and he has shown to clearly not coach with the same passion like how he once did. maybe it was the heart problems but the moment i saw that his ex-players had to come or call him to bring his spirits backup i was 100% sure he had to go.

so when current players like terance newman say they pray he stays what does that mean to you?
so lets see, he should be able to fill all holes and make all things perfect when we have sucked since jimmy left? ya sounds like a fair and accurate appraisel.

We will agree to disagree.

Great for your dad...he's not coaching an NFL team. Parcells is living off his past. He has done a nice job restocking our roster, but his coaching and motivation skills have diminished. Man, that stuff happens. Bobby Bowden anyone?

The reality is that there is no reason to see another year of this cr@p. Four years is enough. There is no next HC on the coaching staff, so we will be starting over when/if Bill decides next year is enough. Start now.

Yeah I agree with this guy.

You know what the Patriots are going to do... Stopping it is the hard part.

Lots of 4 and 5 wide and just watching them dink and dunk all the way up the field.

We couldn't run that type of offense here though because it would drive our fans insane.

Message boards couldn't handle the kind of patience that offense takes.

lol

ACTUALLY IN the 80's he had LT, BANKS, Marshall, Carson he had a dominating D, if we had those 4 players we would get the same result today..

But our LT is Ware and we have none of the others, not even close

All good teams are predictable, it comes down to execution and imposing your will upon the other team. Mart Schottenheimer said that about the 90's cowboys team. He said, "We knew what they were going to run you just couldn't stop it consistently". Only mediocre teams try cute things to win games, yeah they will succeed but eventually it catches up to you. Execution is the key, if you can run a dive for 10 yds a pop then you keep running it until the other team can stop it every time you run it.

It's hard to over power someone when the power part of our team sucks.

something most of these jokers can't comprehend

Then why hasn't the Air Force Academy (or other service academy for that matter) won a national championship lately? I lived in Utah during my youth and watched them in the WAC year after year. National consensus was that under Fisher Deberry they "executed" and were more disciplined than any team in the country. They were competitive, but for some reason they couldn't beat the "big boys" Hmmm. It's about more than execution.

It's about coaching, the system, execution, talent and a smidgeon of luck. Here's another bit of insight, if guys continually aren't executing or they aren't put in a position to succeed, coaching just might be a factor. Just a thought, but then some of us jokers don't have a clue.

That statement was made in the 80's when being predictable still worked. 20 years later, he is still predictable and doing the same stuff, but it doesn't work.

This is the best example of "it's not the play calling, it's the execution" that matters.
