I would consider that within range and a nice pattern from a 12 gauge magnum.

Maybe he was burying an ammo or supply cache. Maybe he was burying the hatchet...in someone. Maybe he was digging his way to China but gave up. Who knows? If it's on his property, there's not much you can do about it. If it wasn't on his property, that might be a different story.

I doubt it was all that nefarious if it was on his property in the open in the middle of the day.

Just what he'd like Sarek to think. If this is going on in broad daylight and out in the open, just think what's going on in his basement in the dead of night.

And how can we be sure he was burying something and not digging something up? I am betting it was a monkey's paw and unless someone comes up with something more believable, that's what I'm going with.

Funny thing is. There is also a Darien, IL and it was named after Darien, CT. Someone from IL came to Connecticut and liked the name so much, they named their town Darien.

I have a nephew named Darien, but they pronounce is Derry-In, not Derry-Ann

After 6 months or so, the trees have a growth spurt....but don't eat the fruit for a couple of years.

So ya thats more than 20 feet away from the house, keep in mind i am winded when passing by from walking fast/running miles and this part is right after a uphill section of my miles. Sorry if my earleir description was inaccurate.
