That would have been like 2008 Jerry when he did the Roy Williams trade, but even then we had a 4-1 team at the time, and was 13-3 the year before, so there was reason to believe he was bolstering a contending team. But 2018 Jerry hasn't made a deal like that in 10 years. 2008 Jerry probably would have pulled the trigger on the Earl Thomas trade or the Sammy Watkins contract.

Oh I agree with you on that. I meant in general about Jerry not putting blame correctly where it belongs or trying to rosy things up when all is failing. A trade for Cooper would be exactly that. This team is not a Cooper away from anything, but he would try and sell it that way, like it is going to save the season or something.
