something negative i took from the game

I can't agree wither...I really didn't like the calls to have him run wide. He is best between the tackes....every one of his long runs was between the tackles....most ALL of his long runs are that way. Play-calling there.

He would have had over 100 yards had he been running the ball at the end, IMO.

If you feel this way about JJ, how do you feel about Bush? Bush hasn't even sniffed 100 yards, but he's supposed to be "all that".

Reggie Bush is an overrated cheater.

Totally disagree, here. JJ played a very good game, I thought. The only "bad" plays were when he was met in the backfield by a defender or there was just really no place to run the ball.

And that TD run he had was pure burst, baby. Did you see the safeties collide on that play? As much as I love MBIII, he wouldn't have got 6 there.

JJ was 6th in the league in rushing coming in and he had 94 yards and 1 TD on 24 carries.

By far the biggest negative to me was the penalties.

i think you guys are missing the point, he is incosistent in the game itself, sure his total numbers were good but he seems to run right at a pack of defenders sometimes. i just feel like MB3, although he is not as good as jj, plays harder and doesnt give up after he is touched. JJ, imho, needs to run harder!! and ya, the penalties are a much bigger problem. and dont forget last week he got pretty much shut out by a D that gave up over 150 yards to dunn the week before.

ps i hate bush, hes overrated!

Give Carolina some credit... although he almost broke the 100 yard mark AGAIN... so I cant agree here

92 yards and a touchdown.

I wonder out of all the backs thats played them this year has done the best.

92 yards and a TD is pretty darn good. He also made some really bigtime runs.

you guys keep talkin about him having 94 yards, he averaged less that 4 yards a carrie!! i still think he is a bit inconsistent and hopefully will improve as the season goes along. And dont give me the crap about the O line, if the O line was playing that bad, how did MB3 average 5.4ypc?

He has been trained to follow the play. You lose yards wehn you try and dance around too much. I think I seen only once when the hole opened to the left when he didn't hit it. Over all, if we keep defenses off balance, JJ does great. When we run 5 times in a row, he'll have 3 good gains and 2 crappy ones. Blame most of this on our line.

Keep in mind that JJ shares duties with Barber.
If JJ makes 90 yards or so, Barber will be adding another 50. That kind of yardage is awesome. With the 65-35 splitting of carries, both are staying relatively fresh and the D-line is being pounded into submission.
I have no problem with JJs productivity.

i agree with a lot of the points you guys are making, but i still believe that over the course of the game he can be a bit incosistent. one thing i LOVE about him, however, is that he NEVER fumbles (knock on wood) and that is the most important part of all. id like him to run harder more consistently and be a better blocker

Because he didn't get his first carry until late in the 3rd quarter or early in the 4th quarter. He was playing on fresh legs and the Panthers defense was completely worn down. That's how football works.

thats a really good point, and you just made me think also early in the game he was in there only on third downs, and earlier in the game, that ment a pass.
