something no one's mentioned about Felix's injury

This is where Phillis can instill change, like mandating that every Wednesday practice starts with a hug between the rest of the team and Felix. That way he'll feel treated for all of his nagging boo-boos. :lmao:

:lmao2: That's a great name for our HC.

Depends on the individual really. Felix seems like the kind of person that will go to treatment consistently. He just needs to keep the inflammation down and increase circulation to the area. He seems to be very dedicated to football. In terms of it lingering, he'll probably need to get treatment a couple times during the week just to monitor the situation and make sure it doesn't reach a plateau in terms of it getting better. This team needs Felix back. It's nice that Austin has emerged as a threat but we need Felix in the backfield.

on top of that, felix needs to realize that he has issues with injuries and he needs to get personal trainer like emmitt smith and zach thomas did

You know I don't know.I seem to remember Adrian Peterson having a similar injury or atleast a knee injury and not missing much time.I believe the injury i'm referring to happened Peterson's rookie year.

Just an FYI

AD tore his LCL in Green Bay Nov. of 2007(his rookie year). He missed 2 games and ended up with 208 yards in the 5 he played in after that. Ironically, the Vikings were 3-6 before AD's injury and then 5-2 after Chester Taylor pretty much took over. AD had 1 100+ day after the injury.

I dont know...I had my PCL torn....and I think its the worst one to tear......JMHO

I've had my ACL torn, meniscus torn, and PCL strained. It's not the worst one to injure. Tearing your ACL is MUCH more devastating. Takes a full year to get back to 100%, and that's with rehab every day.

He does. He also needs to learn when to just step out of bounds. There's nothing wrong with doing that. Felix seems to always get tackled awkwardly when he breaks for a long run, that's because usually he's getting tackled from behind! He just needs to be more aware on the field.

big difference between a TEAR and a SPRAIN.
Mild Sprain is caused by over stretching or minimal tear to the ligament. There is little or no loss in joint function but the person may experience minimal pain and swelling. The person usually tolerates the pain upon putting weight on the affected joint.

In moderate sprain, there is further tearing of the ligament but an incomplete one. Signs and symptoms may include moderate pain, bruising, swelling and loss of joint function. The person usually experiences difficulty of bearing weight on the affected joint.

There is complete tearing of the ligament in people who sustain severe sprain. Severe sprain may be accompanied by damage to the bone, surrounding muscles, blood vessels, tendons, or nerves.

I love Felix as a player but his injuries are becoming real annoying. I mean yes he's a good player but that's when he is even on the field. He missed over half the year last year and already hurt again this year. *Sighs*

We got Columbo b/c he was written off as injury prone didn't we?

Not entirely. Chicago did not want to let Columbo go. I believe he was the last to be cut. They wanted to cut him and then bring him back so that he could have another year to recoop. Unfortunately for the Bears, Bill had his eye on Columbo and signed him before he could clear waivers. I think Chicago new he had talent but they just couldn't keep him because of the roster cuts. Lucky for us I suppose.

Don't understand all the venom for Felix. Frustration makes sense, how could you not feel that way.

But I don't dislike the kid. It's not like he's always on the shelf with minor injuries one could argue he play through.
He's not lacking for toughness. Just luck and durability.

PS - Other players have entered the league with similar durability issues and have had them worked out over time.

He could go on to give us 4-6 oustanding and mostly injury free seasons.
