Yeah, I doubt its overlooked. But I wanted to reiterate it because I feel its being missed amongst all the doom and gloom.

We are 4-0 in the NFC East.

We had a stretch of games where we needed to define ourselves. @NY, @Phili, Washington.

We went 3-0.

Thats what we needed to do to separate ourselves.

We had two very tough road games against divisional opponents and another tough divisional game at home.

2-1 would have been ok. In fact, I suspect many thought that this would be a strong possibility.

Instead, we swept our division in the 3 week stretch.

That's what we needed. We beat the demon that was Philly. We went and swept NY for the season. And we protected our home against Washington. All are .500 and better ball clubs.

So yeah, we struggled a bit.

But the reality of it is; we are 9-1. 4-0 in the division; and undefeated in conference play. Perspective is key. We did what we needed to do; win.

I agree with you. Football, like boxing, like chess, like any other competitive sport is a game full of vicissitudes. You'll be up, you'll be down, you give a shot you take a shot. Its a struggle. I never expect us to dominate or rout any opponent. Just not realistic. if it happens great but if it doesn't we just have to play like a champion caliber team and beat who on paper we should beat.

The mistakes are all there waiting to be made. We just have to make less than the other team.

Thanks to Nimzovitch for that saying.

Yep you are correct. Although there are a couple of threads that echo what you are saying, also pointing out that somehow the main accomplishments here are being missed.

3 in a row against division
and 4-0

Lots of echoing sentiments starting to come out now taht the nail biting is over and the disappointment that we didn't just slaughter the Skins has worn off. The Bar truly has been raised.

There are areas to improve on, which is a good thing too!

Strangely, we played the worst in what I thought was the easiest game going into that stretch. Oh well. 3 wins is 3 wins.
