Because nothing could possibly be less important than that stupid record. Not one question just now about Zeke being pulled out of so much of the game, or needless to say, about Zeke's opportunity to overtake Dickerson. In fact, barely any mention of Zeke at all.
It's the me-first fantasy football generation.I remain perplexed at the number of fans who care more about individual records and players than winning this championship that is staring at us directly in our face.
There's only so much time, so you may as well try to ask a question that will get you something besides a robotic non-answer.Not one question just now about Zeke being pulled out of so much of the game, or needless to say, about Zeke's opportunity to overtake Dickerson. In fact, barely any mention of Zeke at all.
What is there to ask?
Isn't it obvious why his workload is being reduced?
The record was too far out of reach anyway. He would have a chance at it if they ran him into the ground, which would clearly be a ridiculous thing to do.
This. Maybe the media has suddenly developed common sense.

I would think it would be more likely to get some substance asking about what went into the decision to pull Zeke so early in the game than it would be to ask whether it's thought that Tony will play this Sunday.
And yet, no... for whatever reason, the obligatory Tony question (as well as others predestined for robotic answers) still made the cut... hehe...
This. Maybe the media has suddenly developed common sense.
Wait.... that was a joke, right?
Just making sure...Me, joke about the media? NEVER!
(Sarcasm loses its punch if you have to tell everyone you're being sarcastic. I'll work on it.)
They did ask him about it post-game. He said personal records aren't important to him.

Sirius just said Jerry doesn't rule out Zeke breaking the record Sunday and that he will play a lot. That's why questions aren't asked because Jerry will eventually answer them.
