Sometimes the best defense is a better offense

Lol ok dude.
You guys should really be talking more about the running game. That's something we can actually change right now - it's way more interesting.

When the Saints went up 7-0 in 1st qtr, why is the 60 million Dollar unable to led the offense down the field and make it 7-7? It seems like the one thing that is always overlooked is Dak not being able to led the offense down the field which is giving the other team more momentum. If Dallas goes down and score and makes it 7-7, it puts the pressure back on Derek Carr to respond. Maybe he is not as confident with the score 7-7 versus 7-0 and may not score on next possession. So you dak fans want to keep saying DEFENSE DEFENSE but sometimes the best defense is a better offense and he has shown he doesnt have the talent to respond when the other offense is playng well. So what excuse will Dak fans come up with to explain why Dak led offense cant tie the game when down 7-0?
So 44 points is ok?

Excuses? I don't think many are making excuses for Dak...some fans just don't wear Dak hate blinders....they are smart enough to understand the game.

How many games trailing by 2 scores has Dak come back to win in his career? There may be a few but I can’t remember one.
Dak is a front runner.

If people haven’t figured that out by now then they haven’t paid attention.

He wasn’t too bad yesterday but we have an entire career to go off of.

Front runner.

This isn't going to go over very well for you. Dak could throw 9 pick 6's and the stans would still blame the defense.
Well, the flip side of that coin is, if Dak had thrown 6 TD passes and the Cowboys had lost 44-42, the same people would still be on here saying Dak didn't do enough and should have thrown for 7 TDs and the win.

'Cept that Dak has never had a game like that.... You make a valid point, though

Bottom line is, Any team that comes into AT&T and punches us in the mouth... you can count on the game being over with the squad we currently have.

I’m curious. Do you know the answer to the question?

There's no pressure in the 1st qtr of a 7-3 or 7-7 game, the outcome would have still been the same if the game started either way. Carr would not have felt pressure from Dak because he wasn't feeling any pressure from the defense, zero, zip, nada, no resistance whatsoever. Carr only had to complete 11 passes all day and averaged over 22 yards a catch, a QB averaging over 20 yds a catch is not feeling pressure from anyone, period.

The defense gave up 6 consecutive TDs to start the game, so yeah the defense is the primary reason we lost this game, it's not hard to understand. Some crazy people on this site........... :lmao:

Exactly. 8 years later and someone finally understands what I have been trying to say
It doesn't count when you try and say that the quarterback of our offense received the same opportunity as the opponent's quarterback but didn't produce the same. It will not be our quarterback's fault as to why we didn't score a TD.

You gotta understand the rules around here.
Come on man, what do you expect for sixty mil per year?
Sheesh, shrugs
(Sarcasm extreme)

Sometimes the best fans are the ones that understand that football is a team game.

Sounds like something they would say

I just don't understand why Dak did not throw 7 TD's, I mean if he would have thrown 7 we definitely would have have had a shot to win.

When our defense is playing extremely poorly, it affects our offense. In the games we played poorly defensively last year we got destroyed just like we did yesterday. It puts a lot of pressure on our offense and when we can’t run the ball we’re done. Your defense can set the tone for a game. In the games we got blown out in last season and yesterday we allowed the opposing team to march down the field and score a TD on their opening possession. New Orleans was breathing fire after they got us down by a TD. When our defense can’t keep the opponent out of the endzone, we don’t function well as a team. It’s completely the opposite when our defense plays great. However, once we get behind by 7 or more points, teams run the ball down our throat. Our strength defensively is pass rushing and we get taken out of that. When our defense plays like crap, we get embarrassed.

Marino, Fouts and Elway never had to play with bad defenses, ........
