Sorry DeSean, you must be at least THIS tall to ride this ride...

Turns out he's three inches shorter than his listed height.

So he is the same height as Steve Smith (panthers) but about 15 pounds lighter.

yeah, that's the thing. There are successfull WR's that hight, but they tend to be in the 200 lbs. range and tightly compacted. DeSean is going major problems getting off the line.

Wow. He'll drop like a rock.
You are probably right unless he absolutely flies in he 40.

I knew he wasn't 6 feet, but 5'9" is a bit shocking to me.

Well if this means he falls of the board for the first day, then I am all for it and maybe Dallas can pick him up in the later rounds. I still beleive he can turn into a good NFL player.

Weighing in at 169 sounds better at 5'9" than 6'0". Not much better, but it might keep him from dropping too far.

I think he'll still go in the first. If the Dolphins were willing to gamble on Ginn 9th overall because of his speed, there will be a team that takes this guy in the 1st. And it may be us.

Well, just because th Dolphins are dumb doesn't mean other teams are. :)

True. But would you have taken Ginn at our spot in the draft last year, assuming Spencer was off the board already or wasn't a greater need at the time?

Granted, I don't like Ginn, but at some point he comes a value pick.

This has been my major beef with him. Not the height.....that's not a huge deal. But 169 pounds?

I think now, he's going to be viewed more as a specialist....a PR, maybe a third or fourth WR.

Wow. I thought he'd measure in at ~5'11 or 5'10 causing him to slide to the end of the first. I think he may fall to the middle of the second now (which is probably where he belonged all along).

Absolutely not. I wouldn't have taken him in the first 50 or so picks.

He'll probably need to sun a sub 4.3 to remain in the first. Not an easy feat, but not impossible....it's supposed to be a "fast track" at Indy, right?
