Sorry Jason Garrett

But Hackett has the "elite" Russell Wilson. How is it Wilson is not to blame? When Garrett had the best two QB's since Aikman in Romo & Prescott, those two were to blame & not Garrett?! o_O

Or, I agree. Wilson sucks too. I think he's being proven to be one of the most overrated players in NFL History.

Eh, Garrett was a terrible coach in some key aspects of coaching. The players loved him but the man never had teams that were very tough.

Yes, and it's only taken 5 games for the Broncos players to turn on RW, and Hackett can't be far behind.

Yes, it was the rookie Zeke behind the All Pro O line that gave the false impression he could coach.

Nice try to plug your guy though.

Garrett should have been gone after 2013. Absolutely no reason to keep him after that season. I think the 2014 season saved his job. But I'm not sure it was due to his great coaching. He's always been a poor to average coach at best. When the run game is that good, even average coaches can have good seasons.

Just before Tom Landry was fired, he and Tex Schramm had a falling out because Tex hired a coach without Landry's consent. That coach was Paul Hackett, Nathaniel Hackett's father.

4th and 1 in overtime, well within field goal range, and they try passing. Wow..

I can't blame the guy for not wanting to play for a tie. But I do blame him for the game going into OT.

Yes, Campo was worse.

Campo gets a bad rap.

He was defensive coordinator when the Cowboys won their last Super Bowl and when he was head coach Dallas had 27% of their cap taken up in dead money.

He did Jerry a favor by being head coach when they knew there was no chance of winning.

True, and Jerry made some bafflingly decisions during his tenure, when nobody would want to have coached us then.

Sorry for calling Jason Garrett the worst coach ever. Nathaniel Hackett, the Broncos HC, makes him look like Bill Belichick. That is all.

Enter Rams coach Ray Malavasi.

Falcons have a 4th and goal at the Rams 2 yard line. Falcons send out their FG unit but there is a flag on the field. Illegal motion on Atlanta for 5 yards. Rams head coach accepted the penalty. Since the Falcons were inside the 5 before the play, it only took them out to around the 8 yard line. Next play, Bartkowski throws a TD.

The Rams coach said that he thought it was a 10 yard penalty, and if they got a sack, they could have taken them out of FG range.

There's a lot worse out there than Garrett if you go back through history.

pathological hatred of someone you never met is not healthy. Unless of course we are talking Hitler, etc.

I have no hatred towards Russell Wilson. I just think, as a QB, that he's overrated and has been for a while.

Garrett was nowhere near the worst, even when he was HC for us. Average, I'd say.
He was average, but his teams were usually always in it until the end even the 8-8 seasons. Those "rebuilding" years he fielded competitive teams in spite of whatever the FO was doing. Glad is he is gone but there are worse coaches that could have come through here during his time.

I think he has an eye for talent and his immediate demand when he became HC was to rebuild the offensive line. I think he'd do well with a scouting department.

what made the Garret situation so bad was as usual Jethro. he refused to admit Garret was not a HC for about FIVE YEARS LONGER than any COMPETENT GM would have waited.
