Sorry McNabb, you CAN'T have it both ways

In reference to T.O., McNabb was recently quoted as saying "One player doesn't make a team...break a team maybe". The fact htat this quote is coming from McNabb, I think it is a load of crap for two reasons.

First, it came durring a press conference where in McNabb started out by saying he would not field any T.O.-related questions; but when asked about T.O., McNabb quickly, and without hessitation, threw in this VERY REHERSED line. It was a dig into T.O., plain and simple. And if you saw the live interview (I did) it was clearly rehersed. McNabb has been vert passive-aggressive throughout this whole thing. He tries to exhume this innocent nature but masks vindictive tendencies behind it. Sorry, but I don't like the way McNabb always *****-foots atound.

Secondly, McNabb can't have it both ways because T.O. can just as easily argue that it is McNabb who single-handedly broke the Eagles Super Bowl chances by dry-heaving - literally choking - in the 4th quarter when the team needed him most in the last Eagles Super Bowl. In that game, and that season, T.O. did his part; McNabb did not do his. So he should be the last one to say who can and can't break a team, especially when there are a lot of current Eagles players who to this day don't see things the way McNabb does.

maybe his response was in part because of Owens digs at him first. I don't blame the dude really. I hate the eagles as much as anyone, but you gotta admit T.O. threw the first punch.

Its funny, cause if one player cant make team, the why does the "team" let one player take them down.

The eagles can say what they want about the last season, but to cry and whine that it was TO's fault, makes them look even worse, for letting TO have that effect.

TO and the boys are going to land a haymaker on Sunday and knock the Eagles out in Philly.

Maybe i missed something, but i have yet to see TO throw a punch at the eagles, or Mcnabb, all he has done is say how good, Mcnabb is, and how good of a game this is gonna be.

To cant be the bad guy all the time u know

The Eagles should have released TO instead of suspending and holding onto him..... they would rather have TO so they could blame him... instead of doiing what was best for the team and letting him go... we all know why they wouldnt let him go midseason..... because he was headed to Dallas and they knew it.... prolonging the inevitable and having excuse for team and Donnie

Actually, I think it was McNabb who took a shot (maybe not intentionally, but who knows with him after his recent behavior) prior to the Eagles first SB appearance this decade when people kept asking about T.O.s injury and he said something that could be misconstrued by T.O. as not being needed for the SB and not that important or critical component of the team.

You shouldn't judge McNabb. If he wants it both ways, let him have it both ways.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Okay, I'll bite, when did T.O. throw the first punch?
You cannot go by what the media says, because they always twist things around, and no matter what both guys say, the media wants some kind of controversy to go on, so they will go so far as to make up stuff, but anything that those guys say they will twist it to make it seem like a jab at the other guy.

For instance T.O. said that McNabb seems to be in great shape this season, meaning that he looks slimmer and he is healthy, he no longer has the hernia problem or any nagging injury at this time.

McNabb is slimmer and has no nagging injury, so how is that a jab?
Or are you talking about the text message McNabb says he sent T.O. and T.O. saying that he never got it, or could you be talking about when T.O. says that if the text message was sent it was sent to a wrong number and that if McNabb wanted to really send him a text message he can easily get the right number?

Those statements by T.O. is no jab, unless there is another that I have not read or heard yet.

I hear ya... but the only one who knows the true intention of what they said is TO... he probably meant that he is in shape(not like in SB when he was not)... with that said.... I dunno....

I'm only going by last year. Owens was constantly bashing McNabb, and it was really gratuitous. If McNabb would have kept his mouth shut, and just took the high road, then I would have sided with him, but his "Black On Black" crime comments did it for me. I'm not trying to bash Owens, but he was off the hook last year and brought so much of this hate on his self. he had this town in the palm of his hand.

That's just it. McNabb tries to create this perception that he is always taking the high road, or being defensive only when antagonized; but really, he does his fari-share of antagonizing and takes the low road many times. I'm just getting tired of his "Aggressor acting like the Victim" act.

That's because McFlab is a hypocrite that talks out of both sides of his mouth...he's a freaking lap dog that's humping Reids leg to keep him happy...

Or, maybe he's committing one of those "black on black" crimes....

Have it my way?

Can I not pay for this burger? That's having it MY way! :D

As for the controversy, both McNabb and TO should just shut up and let their play do the talking.

His hypocricy is the exact reason TO lit into him. To find coworkers or friends who shoot you straight is rare. On the other hand people who are flaky are extremely irritating to mess with. Nothing is there fault and they are always spinning stuff. I can see why TO lit into him and personally I don't blame him. If anyone caused the down fall it was McNabb. He has been dodging blame since he got to Philly.
