Sort of amazes me that very little has been said about Larry Johnson's habit of physically abusing women

Pacman has been given too many chances already. We need to wash our hands of him and move on. I don't care how good he is (and he hasn't been that good) he's not worth the headaches.

Newman is recovering from a sports hernia, Henry is injury prone, we have 2 rookies behind them, and Alan Ball is behind them(while Olgelsby is in Balt).

Let's be real-even the Pacman haters will want him back after the Skins game.

not all of us...I feel pretty good that the defense will be better without him.

He wasnt even worth a crap on punt returns

In my humble opinion, jumping to conclusions or speculating as to what happend is just nonsense.

I find it odd that Mr. Goodell's investigations are such a joke. I mean the Patriots get a fine without any suspensions and video eveidence was not only available BUT DESTROYED!!

The Pac gets four games without video evidence and we should all just go with it??

Trust me I understand zero tolerance, hell I'm active duty in the Navy. What I don't understand is the fact that ZERO tolerance should affect ALL NFL Teams.

Its not about what he brings to the table anymore as a player.

Its his off the field stuff thats keeping him off this team.

If he was a good guy and dependable he wouldn't even be a Dallas Cowboy.

Are you trying to say The cowboys Don't have good guys!?!:banghead:

If Pac serves a 4 games suspension and comes back...

IT WONT MATTER...

He DOESNT get it.

HE DOESNT want to get it.

Cant rely on him. Cant wait on him.

IF he comes back he wont make it through the season. Lifetime suspension in his future.

Its pretty obvious to me that Goodell isn't really interested in cleaning up the league. Larry Johnson beats women, Matt Jones is busted with drugs, that Patriots linemen is caught with narcotics that junkies love and what happens?

Nothing.

Pacman Jones gets in a scuffle with someone and the details of what happened are unclear and what happens?

He gets 4 games.

Its obvious that Goodell is not interested in actually cleaning up the league. If he was then the former would have gotten the hammer as well. No, what Goodell wants to do is LOOK like he is cleaning up on the league.

Pacman got more press in a single day than Kaczur or whatever that linemens name was got all year. Therefore Goodell has to appear to be doing something.

I have said it right from the beginning. Goodell is just as scummy as a politician. If the man had any decency he would establish clear guidelines for players to follow. I do not care how harsh he makes the punishment but quite frankly what he is doing now is a joke.

Yes, Roger Goodell is a damn joke, but in all honesty, this is all on Pac. He had the chances and once again put himself in a position to have his career taken away from him.

Why all this fuss over Pac???

Whatever he had, he lost it. He freaking sucked at CB, did he have 1 single INT on the year???

As for punts, he freaking blows at that too.

You put up with crap if the guy has talent (that is why TO kept getting chance after chance after chance), but if the guy is just a JAG, you cut bait and bail.

Who cares if he is gone, he wasnt doing jack on the field anyways.

:hammer:

Here are a couple of interesting articles written about NFL player arrests.

The Washington Post 2007 article, Player Arrests Put the NFL in Defensive Mode:
At least 35 NFL players have been arrested this year on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to felony burglary, a number that alarms league and players' union officials. "We can handle all the other issues, but this is the one that concerns me the most," NFL Players Association Executive Director Gene Upshaw said.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell declined an interview request.
"Most NFL players are good citizens, and some are outstanding citizens," Greg Aiello, the NFL's vice president of public relations, said via e-mail yesterday. "It's a small percentage of the 2,000 players in our league that becomes involved in incidents that do not reflect well on the NFL. We have policies and programs to deal aggressively with those issues, and we will continue to do so. The goal is to eliminate all such negative conduct. That may not be realistic, but that is the goal."
Hmmm...from the numbers of players arrested in 2006, methinks the league is falling a bit short of that goal.

The San Diego Union-Tribune wrote a two-part series examining various aspects of crime in the NFL. Of particular note is the list the paper compiled of NFL Players Arrests/citations from 2000 to present:
Attorneys for Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones used the Union-Tribune list in their attempt to have Jones' season-long suspension reduced in May 2007.
From the amount of press coverage Pac receives you'd think he was the only player doing devilish deeds and getting arrested for them. Granted, the severity and number of Pac's infractions are a tad above the norm.

No, I think he means if Pacman hadn't made so many bonehead mistakes he'd probably still be playing for the Titans.

No this team was built on good character guys. Pacman is the exception.

Even Tank Johnson and TO are pretty good guys.

TO is just high maintenance and Tank Johnson likes to collect illegal guns lol.

Nope, not true. Some of us would rather see a team built around players with integrity, accountability and maturity rather than guys that need to have their butt wiped. If that means we are not as good in the secondary, then so be it...worth it to have quality guys that work hard day in and day out and dont screw up...those are the guys that end up playing harder and better in the games anyway.

Like UT?

That is the irony actually. At the beginning of the season, defensive back was supposed to be our strong point, but now may end up being the cause of our downfall. Go figure.
