Wade said his hamstring improved so much as the week went on that he could've played this game, and he did a very good job on the scout teams in practice. So surely two weeks from how he'll be good to go.

And Wade did reiterate that they want to give Brook and Bradie more rest than they've been getting. So I'm thinking he'll actually see some action soon.

Also, Barry Church got some love, and Josh Brent made tackles on two of the eight plays he played. Not bad.

Get the anointing oil out! :laugh2:

Great news. Brooking won't last all year if he's got to play every down.

I'd like to see both McCray/Church and Lee in on obvious passing downs. Solid tacklers with more speed.

Give Bradie and Brooking some rest throughout the game.

yes, Brent flashed a couple of times yesterday and that's very good for the number of snaps he's in on.

Church stuck his nose in there twice on the goal line.

I hope somebody grabs this nickel lb role whether its one of the young safeties, Lee or J-Will. Brooking certainly struggles with it and he won't have anything left for the stretch run at the number of snaps he's playing.

Good he will be back to make 12 tackles after the runner has gained a first down. ;)

lol funny how that works. We don't seem to want anyone on offense to get the hot hand and we're running old man Brooking ragged out there.

Just a funny observation :)

Can I just ask one question.

Wade talks up his boy Jason Williams.

Well where is he?

Why are we waiting on a rookie to come back from a hammy to give some relief to Brooking?

:bang2:

By the time the season is winding down Keith won't be able to make it through his own pep rallies.

J Williams played some on defense yesterday. So did the other Williams.

I definitely agree.

Troy alluded to it yesterday.

We're going to need to get someone in there to spell Brooking, this is a long season, and he plays a very physically demanding position. I hope Lee and Williams can get their together and be more than servicable in their backup role.

These guys have to step it up. Lee has to be legit. We are a playmaking ILB and/or a playmaking safety away from becoming an elite 3-4 defense, on par with the Ravens and Steelers

Church is a much better tackler than Ball.
He's bigger, prob why they had Church in at the goal line. He got in there too... nice hits.

I agree, we can't afford to miss on Lee. As it's shaping up, of all the LB's we took a couple years ago, Butler is the only have that has shown a thing.

I do not understand the personal vendetta against J Will. Amazing.

Thanks for the update, CL.

Maybe Brent will make us forget that other guy...what was his name again?
