Sounds like Sean Lee wil be back next game

I do not understand the personal vendetta against J Will. Amazing.

Oh I totally get it and know why he posts negative stuff about him.

(rehashing my post a few minutes ago on another thread ...)

Sean Lee is a smart and passionate guy, but I've always said I wonder about his frame. He's a thin/smallish ILB for sure. Bradie mentioned this briefly a couple of weeks ago on dc.com - that Sean was a small guy for the spot. Sean was drafted with hopes that his intelligence and work ethic could overcome it. I hope so. He's more muscle than bone. If he doesn't lift weights for a month, I bet he's down to 225 or something (he's listed as 242 lbs).

Thinking of Church as nickel LB. I just wonder how Church (a big SS as opposed to Lee a small ILB) would react to line play and getting smacked by big guys. At least Sean Lee is used to it.

But isn't Danny McCray in the depth chart already as backup nickel LB and has practiced and played preseason some there?

Maybe Brent will make us forget that other guy...what was his name again?
Heh...

I really like Brent. Said it before, but I'm amazed he's able to contribute at all after missing all offseason and breaking his hand in camp. Can't wait to see this kid after a year of lifting.

And as for J-Will... Maybe he's just never going to be a good coverage LB. Kind of the reverse Bobby Carp. Doesn't mean he's a waste of a player.

And besides, it's not like third rounders are guarantees anyway.

I'm not sure why anybody thought Jason Williams was going to suddenly be ready to contribute this year. He's a project, and he's in his 2nd year in the freaking league. He has a long way to go, but he has potential.

I'm not sure Lee is ready to take the role of nickel LB. He looks lost at times in coverage. We have a weak spot at the Mo in coverage. And James isn't a stalwark either. Jason Williams hasn't shown much of anything either. I think we are stuck with what we have.

The Landry rule is two years. That counts for Jason Williams, Hamlin, B. Williams, Brewster - those guys hardly were healthy last year. This year it's Lissemore, Costa, Sam Young.

If you are a big body, you get time. If you are a little dude, it's do or die.

That's our head coaches pet. If you don't like our head coach, by default you do not like J. Will. ;)

Crystal clear. If it was a snake it would have bitten me.

Actually it was three years.

What vendetta? The reality is that after a year in the system the guy should be alot further along. He is still lost in coverage. I want the guy to make it as bad as anybody, but to label him anything other than disapointing is a lie.

Honestly, to expect a lot out of him yet is just unrealistic. He was a small school project. Besides, sometimes it takes guys a few years. Remember how long Bradie James was considered a complete bust--he spent a whole year rotating with Coakley when he was not playing well at all just to try and get him some experience, and he had the benefit of going to LSU and playing big time college football. Jason Williams went to Western Illinois. We drafted him because of his athletic potential not his polish.

Besides, say what you want about his abilities as a head coach, Wade knows defense. If Wade has faith in him; I have faith in him.

Can I just ask one question.

Wade talks up his boy Jason Williams.

Well where is he?

Why are we waiting on a rookie to come back from a hammy to give some relief to Brooking?

:bang2:

Didn't he talk up Ratliff early on too? I agree the man talks up everyone, but you can't discount all of it. One thing thus far is clear. Josh Brent has shown flashes of great plays. Considering how raw he is, that can't be a bad thing.

good news. cant wait to see this guy on the field. he should be very effective in spelling brookings and james

I would like to see Brooking make it to the playoffs with this team.

So this is where I would like the guys behind him to play.

It's that simple.

Name the other guy right now who is being overworked and is over 35 years old on this team.

We are all waiting Mr. Know it all.

So that's why I love Keith Brooking right.

You sound dumb right there.

REAL DUMB.

He's a freaking LB. Stop talking like he's a QB.

I got two rookie Safeties getting time on the field over Mike Hamlin.

If I may jump in here a minute and ask a question how long did it take to get Brady James out on the field...

You would think after years of watching football and seeing that some players develop fast and that some guys take several seasons to pan out, people would quit with the rush to judgement b/s

But not here.
