They were happy to let him go. And he wasn't even arrested!

So the Titans can save the "we have to get something for him" line.

If the deal isn't for a 6th rounder or less, with no money involved then we should walk away and wait until they cut him and/or he is re-instated.

I agree. Fischer/Adams and Mike Reinfeldt can kiss our butts as far as I am concerned. We do not need Adam Jones.

Jerry should just say screw it and tell them to release him. We can sign him after that and and keep the picks they would have received and they will get NADA.

I remain confused why this board feels the Titans are "desperate." In the worst case, the Titans keep Jones and he plays for their team. It's strictly a value proposition. Beyond a bit of cap room and some draft picks, the Titans do not have much incentive. We'll see.

I can understand the Titans having paid him his bonuses and feeling holding the bag.

I can too, but it's quite asinine for them to expect us to bail them out from their mistake...

If I'm Jerry, I walk away from the table, and tell the Titans to get back to us if they ever feel like getting real... we're taking a huge risk of our own to acquire the guy, no way in HELL should we be helping the Titans dig out from their mistake...

For that matter, if I'm Jerry, I tell them to take a hike if they expect any other pick next year... I tell them how high I'm willing to go, take it or leave it...
