Hold firm Jerry. Don't blink. Extorsion money isn't what you want to cave to.

Yes, I also hope Mr. Jones hangs tough Hos......we are holding all the cards right now.....

1. PacMan wants to play for us.
2. No other teams are interested.
3. We are the Cowboys:star:

I don't recall the Vikings posturing like this regarding Troy Williamson, the 7th player selected in the same draft.

They were happy to let him go. And he wasn't even arrested!

So the Titans can save the "we have to get something for him" line.

You are getting something for him. As much as you deserve for a player on his 'last strike'.

The guy could get arrested tomorrow, and what would the Cowboys get for their draft picks then?

Bupkus.

This situation is the fault of Pacman and the Titans.

And that's who should pay for it.

Nobody else.

They want to gamble for a bigger payday?

Call their bluff.

Walk away.

If someone else is willing to take the risk, let them.

I don't see anybody lining up behind Jerry Jones. I see a list of teams reportedly interested issuing denials.

Seems as though we are heading that direction - walking away.

If, in fact, the Titans are looking for money and picks, I doubt JJ is going to go for it. And he shouldn't . . . .

Good post, even though Tennessee can rightly claim Jones outplayed Williamson.

Literally true too, 5 career TDs for Jones, 3 career TDs for Williamson.

This sounds like it's getting worse and worse, in terms of what the Titans think they deserve, everytime I see a story on it. Now they want not only two picks but money?

Forget it. Walk away.

The Titans say they deserve 2 picks because Jones plays Cb and returns kicks. WOW.

If the deal isn't for a 6th rounder or less, with no money involved then we should walk away and wait until they cut him and/or he is re-instated.

Give them a 7th for him being a CB. Then give them a 7th next year for him being a KR.

But I really do wonder it this "SOURCE" is real.

There have been SO many rumors of a deal getting done, of it being imminent, etc.

I think we just have to wait and hear what happens tonight.

If there is no resolution by tonight, I doubt we do much of anything until after the draft, IMO.

I agree. Fischer/Adams and Mike Reinfeldt can kiss our butts as far as I am concerned. We do not need Adam Jones.

Jerry should just say screw it and tell them to release him. We can sign him after that and and keep the picks they would have received and they will get NADA.

I like how that formula works better.

He sure did on the police blotter too.

If the guy didn't have the baggage he does, he'd be a lot more valuable.

But he does have baggage.

And plenty of it.

Tell you what, I'd give my 4th this year and a conditional 4th next year. But if Pacman gets suspended or not reinstated at all you give me your third next year since a 4th this year is worth a 3rd next year.

the longer it takes the better for us. it seems like we are the only team interested, they wont get another trade partener and the longer we refuse to give them a lot the more desperate they will become. the titans want to get something for pacman but they will not just hold on to him and pay him for the year without him playing they would just release him. What im saying is the closer we get to the season the less we will have to give up for him.

Offer a 6th this year and a 7th next year.

If they don't take that, let them keep him and draft somebody.

I remain confused why this board feels the Titans are "desperate." In the worst case, the Titans keep Jones and he plays for their team. It's strictly a value proposition. Beyond a bit of cap room and some draft picks, the Titans do not have much incentive. We'll see.

If you want Pacrat then I honestly wouldn't panic.

If Dallas wants him they'll get him.

Both teams are just playing hard ball and for some stupid reason every little move that is done is leaked into the media.

He'll be a Cowboy before the draft Period Point Blank (sorry hos).

the deal will get done, everyone including reporters are impatient the deal has not been completed yet, and I believe the laptops are itching to post wild stories. The titans dont have the leverage,if the deal doesn't get done by the draft they are screwed.

patience:D

IMO, people might say this is being a Cowboys homer; but the longer the Titans wait in this whole PacMan thing the less they are going to get for him...............................

I can understand the Titans having paid him his bonuses and feeling holding the bag.

I can too, but it's quite asinine for them to expect us to bail them out from their mistake...

If I'm Jerry, I walk away from the table, and tell the Titans to get back to us if they ever feel like getting real... we're taking a huge risk of our own to acquire the guy, no way in HELL should we be helping the Titans dig out from their mistake...

For that matter, if I'm Jerry, I tell them to take a hike if they expect any other pick next year... I tell them how high I'm willing to go, take it or leave it...

Tennessee's trying to rape Jerry and the Boys, and you say he should hold still for it?? Please...

Thank God Jerry's too sharp a negotiator to let them get away with that...
