I dont get it. This guy plays in nearly every defensive package and is tough. He played one week after a high ankle sprain in 2014, the playoff game vs Detroit. He had no business on the field and he played well.

Unlike prior years, they'll have a large body of free agents to bring in. Having to decide to sign a guy, knowing that there may/may not be a better fit being in the group of final cuts in another week, must have sucked. I like the new rule and knowing that there isn't anyone else left to be cut pre-1st game.

It's typical. He's not a self promoter. He is just a very solid football player. He is not easily replaceable, no matter what @Risen Star says.

I don't know I am not one of those people. Have enjoyed watching him play for us, no complaint from me. But there will be some good LB up for grabs.

I like hitchens as a person but I've never really liked him as a player. We rarely play 3 LBs so it's not a huge loss from my point of view. I've always preferred Durant and Wilson and I know Smith will be starting very soon.
